Alipay+ is taking over the world!

The picture above is me posing with my Alipay friend in Munich after #Spain beat #France 2-1 in the #euro2024 semifinal. It was an amazing match, with 16 year old Yamal becoming the youngest player to score in the tournament ever. He will become a superstar.

It was also interesting for the LED adverts throughout, particularly for #Alipay+ and #Antom.

Alipay+ is the major, global payments processor who starred in my book Digital Human a few years ago. Having watched them for years, I could predict that QR codes, digital wallets and their technological capabilities were going to go mainstream. Today, they are in Asia and, for a few years, have been expanding further around the world, as demonstrated by their latest project: Antom.

What is Antom?

Antom is Ant International's newest brand. It’s a payment processing provider that helps businesses sell more globally and a leader in alternate payment methods (APMs) offering Asia and LATAM's favourite e-wallets and APMs to allow a streamlined checkout for customers worldwide.

I guess the big news will be that, just as Lamine Yamal is going to be the turbo-charged superstar behind Spain and Barcelona's future success, Antom will do the same for international payments and #Alipay+.
