Activity Book Brings Vision Zero Safety Ideas to Young Central Floridians
We want to help you talk to the youngsters in your life about transportation safety and how to save lives.
Every week, more than 5 people die on Central Florida roads, and more than 35 are seriously injured.
Vision Zero Central Florida is an initiative led by MetroPlan Orlando, with our partners across the three-county region, to end traffic deaths and serious injuries on our roads. That’s an ambitious goal, and it will take everyone doing their part.
You’re never too young to learn safe habits, so we created an activity book about Vision Zero that is aimed at elementary school students. Called Path to Safety Central Florida, the 6-page book contains math and word puzzles, vocabulary builders, coloring pages, and more to reinforce Vision Zero safety principles.
How to Get Copies
A printable copy of the book is available on our website here.
We also have full-color, bound copies to share. If you would like printed copies of the activity book for your family, scout troop, community event, classroom activity, etc., we can provide them free of charge. Please contact: Mary Ann Horne, [email protected] for more information.
Our Vision Zero teams are out now at workshops and events throughout Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties and will be giving the books away to attendees, along with lots of other information. Keep an eye out for them. Check out a listing of Vision Zero events here.

Central Florida’s regional and local Vision Zero Safety Action Plans are funded by a $3.79 million Safe Streets and Roads for All federal grant. The region plans to continue to pursue funding for projects that make our roads safer, as we will look toward a future in which no one dies in Central Florida traffic.
Vision Zero is an international movement to reach zero traffic fatalities. Read more about Vision Zero initiatives across the United States at the Vision Zero Network
