3 crucial factors paving Trensition's path so far (and why we need more people)

As a founder, one of your most important responsibilities is to bring your vision to life by creating a product and business model that can support it. This can be a challenging process, and you may find yourself feeling overwhelmed by the many questions you need to answer in order to make it all come together. However, by staying focused and committed, you can overcome these challenges and turn your vision into a successful reality. But how do you move from idea to product, to creating a business model, to gaining customers, to accelerating the business, ...? How do you create traction? Below, I have listed three crucial factors and learnings that have helped us at Trensition to get to where we are today, and that I hope will inspire others. And, who knows, maybe some of these aspiring individuals will be looking for a new job opportunity and will want to join our team.

From good to great

Right from the start I was confident our foundation was sound. Together with my co-founders (Mike & Mathias) we are a unique trio. Our strength lies in our complementary profiles. We each have our own expertise. This resulted in a solid prototype to start from back in 2019.

Today, I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by a team of experts. Our team is growing quickly, not only in size but also in knowledge and expertise, which allows us to continuously optimize our product, TrendTracker. Our collective eagerness to push boundaries and strive for greatness keeps us motivated and challenges us to constantly improve. I am truly grateful to be part of such a talented and dedicated team.

We are constantly looking for new experts to expand the team who can take Trensition to the next level.

Couldn't do it on our own

Doing business with big corporations and close cooperations with clients like Ageas, P&G, PepsiCo, BNP Paribas Fortis, ... gave us invaluable insights.

Last year, we had the opportunity to participate in the EU acceleration program STADIEM (Start-up Driven Innovation in European Media), which truly gave us a boost. This program opened international doors for us within the media and entertainment industry, connecting us to the right people and giving us a platform to showcase our product at numerous events. Additionally, participating in STADIEM forced us to focus on a specific market (the media sector) and prioritize our efforts, which allowed us to make significant progress in a short amount of time. Overall, our participation in STADIEM was an incredibly valuable and enriching experience.

The winner award from STADIEM

At the start of the STADIEM program, 400 start-ups signed up to participate. After the first "Match" phase, only 40 projects remained. This number was then narrowed down to 16 start-ups during the "Develop" phase, and 12 start-ups made it through to the third "Integrate" phase. By the time we entered the final "Pilot" phase, only 4 start-ups remained. We are incredibly proud to have been part of this elite group. Furthermore, last month at The Big Score, we received a winner award from STADIEM for our achievements. This recognition was truly overwhelming and has opened even more doors for us. We are extremely grateful to STADIEM for granting us such valuable validation.

Last but not least, there was also the co-investment of € 1.8 million by Ageas and Capricorn Partners last September providing us with the necessary resources to scale our platform towards a worldwide SaaS offering and expand the team. Work in progress as we speak...

So if you're open for a new challenge. We are looking for all kinds of profiles such as full stack engineers, marketeers, business developers (corporate account management, inside sales, ...), trend analysts and consultants. Drop me a DM if you would like to join an ambitious, highly innovative and scaling startup with a pragmatic and no-nonsense culture.

Today, we are ahead of the international competition with our technology.

Dedication and co-creation

I already mentioned the team as a key secret to our succes. Their dedication, agile mindset and proactive attitude when clients express specific needs is critical to be able to progress.

On top, through co-creation journeys with RMG and SWR during the STADIEM programme we discovered the priceless value of client feedback. It pushed us to constantly tweak our platform tailored to their specific needs, ultimately resulting in a better solution that benefits all our customers. For example the startup scene and regional accents are really important for RMG. Whereas SWR focuses on what the world will be like in 2030 and therefore was looking for additional support in their scenario-planning process. All those aspects are incorporated within Trendtracker and were further tailored to their requirements. Also, co-creation is an ideal way to get a quick feel of a specific market and the challenges it faces.

Hungry for more and confidently looking forward to what the future holds... KYP! ;-)
