In the ever-evolving landscape of social media, Bluesky has emerged as a potential game-changer. Initially launched in 2023, the platform opened its doors to the general public in February 2024, and claims “it is social media as it should be”. It is growing at pace and is currently getting around 1 million new users a day while conversely, X is shedding losers rapidly. I think that the for you algorithm that most social media platforms are adopting is a disaster. It's terrible for companies and creators: people who choose to follow you don't see your stuff anymore. It's terrible for users: your feed becomes a mix of sensationalism and clickbait. What I'd like to see is 2/3 of the content from people you follow and 1/3 from people outside your network.

Want to see more value content instead of over-sensationalised but with empty/low value content. Somehow I wish there’s a way to go about algo to reach and build community that actually values value content 🥳 Seeing a lot of great value contents not getting as much traction just because they’re not sensationalised/ high engagement (due to low entertainment/click-baity/ less favour by algo) Seems like a balance of things to juggle? #contentcreator #valuecontent
