Have you ever felt like working with your stakeholders is like trying to get a group of lions and gazelles to collaborate? For me, the design system is the watering hole in my personal savanna, where all species come together and coexist peacefully. I’ve decided to share my experience in the hope that it might help other designers as well. I strongly believe that a well-structured design system can make a real difference, especially in product or multi-product environments. In the first chapter of this mini-series, I'll talk about 4 mistakes to avoid when building a design system. These mistakes have cost me sleepless nights and roars of disapproval, but they’ve now become valuable lessons to help me create better design systems—and to help you avoid making the same errors. In the upcoming Wednesdays, we’ll explore how a design system can improve relationships with every "animal species" involved: frontend, backend, devops, product owners, marketing, and data scientists. Each chapter will be dedicated to an "animal persona," where I’ll match the technical and personality traits of each role to those of an animal. And what about you? The X-axis are the months from June to December. The Y-axis is the % of sub-districts/tehsils in the state that have seen an increase in rainfall vs those that have seen a decrease. Broadly speaking, if a square is more blue, most tehsils have seen an increase and if it's more orange, most tehsils have seen a decrease. Day 2 of the TechCrush UI/UX Challenge Task: Create a landing page (Assigned by Joshua Opaleke ). For today’s challenge, I chose to design a landing page for EcoGrow which I designed a sign up page for earlier, a platform dedicated to empowering farmers. EcoGrow provides personalized coaching for farmers, gardeners, and agriculture enthusiasts who are eager to adopt sustainable farming practices while expanding their global market reach. One major feature I implemented was the grid layout. This structured approach allowed me to: organize content into clear sections, enhance responsiveness, align text, images, and buttons in a visually appealing way. What do you think of this concept?
