🌟 Today was bittersweet at Bryckel AI 🌟 as we bid farewell to most of our incredible summer interns who are heading back to school. 🎓✨ Interns are the lifeblood of lean startups, but working with them requires its unique code. Here’s my code. 1️⃣ All internships should be paid. 💸 No one should be asked to intern for free under the guise of "This is an opportunity of a lifetime." Paid internships create accountability on both sides. 2️⃣ Interns are not meant to be exploited. ⏰❤️ One positive feedback from all our interns was that, unlike their peers at other startups, we didn't grind them every day until midnight. Let's be honest; most of us are not curing cancer, and everyone deserves a healthy work-life optimization. 3️⃣ Avoid overloading mentors with too many interns. 👫👫 Interns require a lot of guidance, which can significantly impact the productivity of their mentors if there are too many. 4️⃣ Managing interns reveals managerial potential. 🌱👩💼 How someone manages interns is very telling of what kind of manager they will become. I used this as a litmus test to note which team members have leadership and team-building capabilities. It's been an amazing journey, and we wish our interns the best of luck in their academic pursuits! 🌟🚀 #Internship #StartupLife #Leadership #WorkLifeBalance

Sharing what all I did and learned in the first month of my first VC internship: 1) Researching new and upcoming markets. 2) Reading tons of relevant material online related to the markets I’m researching. 3) Identifying startups and opportunities in these markets. 4) Deriving the market size of the sector. 5) Reaching out to people working in the same segment and learning from them. 6) Once again, reading every piece of information available on the sub-niche market. VC job isn’t just about meeting new founders and deciding whether to invest in their ideas. There’s so much more happening behind the scenes in a VC firm, and an immense amount to learn. I’m genuinely excited and grateful to be learning all these things :)

Earlier last month, we wrapped up our first-ever SWE DemoDay—an incredible experience with amazing guests and stellar presentations. While this was a milestone for our team, what truly stands out is what we accomplished together during the cohort. I vividly remember my initial conversation with Dan DiGangi, about how this system was super unorganized and what needs to be fixed - everything just clicked. From that moment, we were on a mission—not just to train engineers, but to shape them into well-functioning interns, problem solvers, solution artists who could excel in any environment. Fellows like Alif Abdullah and Akash Savitala, who out shined hundreds of applicants, exemplified that mission. Balancing school, internships, and our rigorous process, they showcased outstanding dedication. Their final projects were fantastic—building stellar apps that demonstrated the entire SDLC, project management, and so much more using Route planning and Generative AI. 💡We’ll soon be sharing what they built and having them walk you through it. Looking back, it’s incredibly fulfilling to see how we’ve equipped our fellows to become professionally profound (yep, I just coined that—stay tuned to find out what it means!). ⚡️ So what's next? We expand out team, new cohorts, mini-conferences and business demodays. Aaaand, We are just getting started. 🏆 Once again, cheers to the team—Rockstars, all of you!

Day 20 of My Summer Internship Today was a pivotal moment in my internship as our team presented our startup idea to a room full of eager listeners. It was an incredible opportunity to showcase the hard work and creativity we’ve poured into this project. 📈 Our mentor, Vimal Daga , offered invaluable feedback that not only affirmed our efforts but also provided clear guidance on how we can enhance and expand our concept. His insights into market positioning, user engagement, and strategic growth were both enlightening and motivating. ✨ Hearing positive feedback from someone with such experience is both rewarding and encouraging. It reaffirms the importance of mentorship and continuous learning in the entrepreneurial journey. I’m excited about the next steps and the chance to implement these suggestions to refine our idea further. This experience has been a fantastic learning curve, allowing me to deepen my understanding of startup dynamics and sharpen my skills. Each day brings new lessons and challenges, and I’m enthusiastic about applying what I’ve learned to drive our project forward. Grateful for the opportunity and eager to continue this journey of growth and innovation. Here’s to many more milestones ahead! 🚀 #StartupJourney #Entrepreneurship #Mentorship #Innovation #Learning #CareerGrowth
