#AmericanCrisis | How many of us are thinking about solutions beyond November 5th that get us out of this cycle? How many of us will still have relational #influence across the divide after November 5th? Most of that has already been squandered through divisive rhetoric and namecalling. November 5th is not the end. It is only the beginning. It would be one thing if it's just citizens who get angry over the results. Elected officials will empathize with their constituents, lending legitimacy to their voices. This will create a multi-faceted problem that will grow well after one of the two candidates is inaugurated on January 20th, 2025. No well-known leader in America today has the influence to lead both factions through this. This is not a “Him” or “Her” problem… it’s an “Us” problem. Start there.

I’d love to see a national holiday on Nov 4th (or the 1st Tues of Nov). Ensure people can get to the polls, encourage civic participation… make civics a day. Get rid of citizens united and gerrymandering and we are off to a great start at reconciliation post Nov 5th.
