I don't sell much on my feed; but gonna do it here. I blasted this out to my database earlier but if you want to take landing solid sales roles into your own hands instead of paying thousands of dollars for a paid placement program, this is for you: ++++++++++++++++ The Remote/High-Ticket space is changing, and not all in good ways… These days there seem to be WAY more "pay-to-play", "guaranteed job" or "paid placement" agencies trying to charge you THOUSANDS of dollars for a sales role. Freaking ridiculous! Anyone that knows me knows I am VEHEMENTLY against such atrocities. That being said, I know there are lot of people who have reached out to me for a job and I have unfortunately not been able to help. I wish that wasn't so. But, I am at the mercy of what companies require and can only select candidates for interview consideration based on the criteria they give me. If I had my way, I would place EVERYONE in a role. That being said, I have long wanted to put together a simple yet powerful protocol to help remote reps land great offers on thier own without having to pay anything by simply equipping them with the strategies needed to sift and sort through all the garbage in this space without spending days and weeks or a bunch of money on scams. Rather than do this myself however, I’ve decided to simply share a program built and developed by a trusted buddy of mine - James Lawrence Some of you may already know him. He has an overwhemly positive and influential voice in the space and one of the very few that I would ever consider "endorsing". I started in remote sales 2 years ago If I were starting again with 0 connections and 0 experience… Here’s how I’d get my first remote sales job in 2024: 1. Education. Starting with 0 experience so I need to actually learn sales first Here are some good places to learn online: 1. YouTube (Alex Hormozi, Cole Gordon, Me) 2. Social Media (Instagram, X & even TikTok) 3. Meeting people (Facebook groups, Free discords, Paid communities) I want to look for people & groups that are teaching high-ticket sales. So I’ll literally just look up “High Ticket Sales” on the platforms I mentioned above Finding a good paid community would probably be my #1 priority to get the best information 2. Finding roles. Before doing any outreach on these social media platforms, I’d make sure my profile was clean Clean profile picture, simple bio about high ticket sales, professional looking/sounding, etc Here are the 3 main ones I’d use for this: • Facebook Groups Within the Facebook groups, I’ll search: • High-ticket sales • Remote closing • Appointment setting • Inbound closer • DM setter. I’d join 50+ groups. Connect with recruiters, identify them, join pipelines, send messages, create connections, etc. I’d do all of this before asking for a job • X I’ll look for: • Coaches • Agency owners • Sales threads with CTAs & follow these people + follow anyone they’re following Send messages to some of the people I followed to make connection • Instagram I’d do similar to X: Search niche coaches (e.g., fitness, real estate, crypto, e-com). Message these people & follow who they’re following 3. Positioning Positioning myself is next. This is what I’m going to use to send to any people/businesses that are hiring closers Even if I had a resume already, I’d improve it specifically to high-ticket sales Since I don’t have any sales experience, I’d add any transferable skills I had from other jobs Things like: • Customer-facing roles • Customer support roles • Anything remotely similar to sales Next, I’d make an intro video on Loom I can send to the person or business hiring All I’d include is 4 quick parts: • Intro (who I am, where I’m from) • Why I’m reaching out • Why I’m qualified, • CTA. & It should all be included in 60 seconds or less. 4. Interview If I follow the first 3 steps properly, I’ll definitely get some interviews Key questions I’d ask (to show I know what I’m talking about): • The businesses/offer owners revenue and cash collected • Sales team earnings, top and bottom performers, sales team tenure • Client success rate, time in business, tech stack, KPIs. This will not only show I know what I’m talking about, but it’ll help me vet the offers and see which ones are actually good that I could be successful with As for all interviews but even more so for sales, I’d make sure my presentation is solid: • Look good • Sound good • Quiet room • No phone • Clean room • Decent camera • Good wifi connection
