Today I bid farewell to my time at ESA. From my humble beginnings as a Glasgow girl, I’ve been privileged to embark on a remarkable journey, rubbing shoulders with Presidents, Astronauts and CEOs. To travelling around Europe discussing the future of space with connectivity alongside technology experts and senior leaders. Engaging with the press, delving into captivating discussions about rockets and satellites. And to top it off, I even had the unforgettable opportunity to learn directly from the ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher. What a privilege. Every day, I had the pleasure of working alongside the most talented and compassionate individuals and mentors. Together, we form an extraordinary team that not only inspires future generations but generates numerous employment opportunities within our member states. The team I have been part of, under the leadership of Antonio Franchi, champions a fun-filled environment that showcases the incredible work we do at ECSAT. They deliver time and time again for this special place. They have triumphed over obstacles, selflessly laying the foundations for the future. This is just the beginning of the ECSAT story. I was lucky to be part of its early chapters, and I eagerly anticipate the unfolding of the next one. It has been an adventure of a lifetime. Taking the sagely advice of the Director General, who once told me, "your performance will be your passport", I embark on new horizons with the invaluable experiences from my time here.
