"Love one another" resonates throughout the Bible at least 16 times, reminding us of God's heartfelt desire for us to extend love to everyone, irrespective of their gender, status, position, or wealth. While this may seem simple in theory, embodying this command can be one of our greatest challenges. Every day, we face countless opportunities to choose kindness—when we wake up, while driving, in busy parking lots, waiting in line, at the supermarket, in government offices, at banks, and even in places of worship. In the hustle and bustle of life, it’s all too easy to let frustration or impatience get the better of us, and we might unintentionally say or do something that harms others. Yet, this is not the love God envisions for us. I believe that if we strive to be kind and compassionate to everyone we encounter, we can make a meaningful difference. A simple smile or a warm greeting can brighten someone's day in ways we may never fully grasp. And let us also remember those who are less fortunate than ourselves. When we have more than we need, sharing even a little can create a ripple effect of kindness and love in our communities. Let’s make the effort to spread joy, compassion and love always.
