Open parks and public schools are the two most commonly built community sports facilities. This concept is relatively common in the United States. Is a bobsleigh track worth more than 500 trees? The Italian authorities, against the opinion of the IOC, have decided to realise a new bobsleigh track for the 2026 Olympics. All this despite the fact that the track made for the 2006 Olympics in Turin was available. They chose to cut down 500 trees, dispunify a natural area forever and squander 81 million euros. The alternative was the 2006 track recovery (2006, not 1936). Obviously I am not opposed regardless of great works and big events but this is a totally irresponsible choice. This is not only an Italian issue but concerns everyone because this is not how an Olympiad is organised What do you think?
