This Black Friday, we're flipping the script on consumerism and addressing a critical issue: the gender gap in health research and advertising. Did you know: • Only 2.5% of healthcare R&D funding goes to gynaecological health. • Female health issues receive disproportionately less media coverage, and are frequently censored by large advertising platforms like Meta, Google, TikTok and Amazon. • As a result of the lack of research and public information, 44% of girls do not know what is happening to them when they first get their period. From November 25 to December 4, Daye is redirecting 20% of all sales to Wellbeing of Women, supporting innovative projects in women's health. Some of their current initiatives include: • Developing evidence-based toolkits for companies to support employees impacted by menopause • Investigating non-invasive diagnostic methods for conditions like endometriosis • Researching the causes and potential treatments for heavy menstrual bleeding 60 years. £75 million invested. 600+ research projects. This Black Friday, Daye is proud to support Wellbeing of Women's vital work in advancing women's health. Because progress isn't just about individual health – it's about creating a society where all health issues are given equal attention and resources. #BreakingTaboos #WomensHealthMatters #ResearchForEquity

It’s Time to Talk About Periods—For Real 🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸 I was well into adulthood before I fully understood my own menstrual cycle. That’s not because I wasn’t paying attention—it’s because no one was talking about it. Like so many women, I grew up in a culture where periods were shrouded in silence and shame. We were taught to hide them, to power through pain, and never, ever mention them in “polite” company. This silence has real consequences. Many women don’t learn how to recognise what’s normal—or what’s not—until years, even decades, after their first period. Irregular cycles, debilitating pain, heavy bleeding—these can be signs of serious conditions like endometriosis or PCOS. But how can we advocate for our health when we’re conditioned to ignore our bodies? On top of that women’s bodies are forever being judged & policed, & then you throw child birth on top of that!! And then there’s period poverty. Millions of people around the world can’t afford basic menstrual products. For them, a period isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a barrier to education, work, and dignity. Imagine missing school or work every month because you don’t have a pad. Imagine having to choose between buying food or tampons. They actually tax sanitary products, I often think about homeless women & what they go through!!! 😥 This isn’t just about access—it’s about equity, health, and human rights. When we keep periods a secret, we allow stigma and misinformation to thrive. We enable policies that ignore real needs. And we force women and girls to navigate their health in the dark. Men & women talk about periods with your daughters and partners, it’s a big part of women’s lives, let’s normalise our amazing bodies. It’s time to break the cycle of silence. Let’s talk about periods—loudly, openly, and unapologetically. Because understanding our bodies shouldn’t take decades. Because no one should miss out on life because they can’t afford a pad. Because menstruation is normal. And it’s time we acted like it. #EndPeriodStigma #PeriodPoverty #WomenHealth #BreakTheSilence #HealthEquity

This. Is. Amazing.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 We don’t talk enough about #periods. Well, we don’t talk enough about so many things that happen to #womens #bodies We must discuss🗣️ and celebrate 🎊 the biology of female body. Did you know that a period🩸 is the uterine lining REGENERATING itself every month? Do you know the molecular mechanisms needed for that to happen? What if we fully understood how and why? And what if we understood how disruption in those processes may cause #endometriosis #dysmenorrhea #infertilty and more? Talk. Educate. Research. Invest. Transform. #womens #health

🚨👋 Attention Health Companies! Do you work in communications at a European health company and do you use very large online platforms (VLOPS) such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Linkedin, and Google to advertise your product or service? Have you faced digital suppression on social media when sharing essential health information? We want to hear your story! 🚀 The Case for Her, in partnership with the CensHERship campaign, is gathering insights from health innovators like you. Whether your content has been flagged as inappropriate, shadowbanned, or outright removed, we need to understand how censorship is impacting both women’s and men’s health content. Examples include: 💻 Flagging of accurate sexual health information as “explicit” or “inappropriate” content. 💻 Shadowbanning posts about menstruation, menopause, or erectile dysfunction—leaving followers unaware of these vital messages. 💻 Removal of ads or posts for reproductive health products with little to no explanation. CensHERship's last research made waves, landing in national media and sparking meetings with two major social media platforms. Now, we need your voice to push this forward, break down these barriers, and create a fair digital space for all. This campaign is brilliant! It is a much watch (and not just for those of us who champion and push for women's health education, development and action). As a mentor and coach for those in femtech, I applaud Bodyform USA for putting this out there. Women and girls are so often shamed, dismissed, under or mis-educated or even abused when it comes to periods and this crucial part of our lives. It's worth remembering that this isn't a fleeting part of a Woman's life. We can have over 40 yrs of their lives dealing physical pain, health challenges, ongoing stress & concern and more when it comes to our reproductive systems. I am going on year 36 myself. It's not just about menstruation but also about hormones, fertility (or lack of), bodily autonomy, and all the correlated and often serious health risks. It is not simply an "annoyance that happens once a month", it is health care. And to any Men (or dismissive Women) reading this - I challenge you to watch this, consider the message and check in on what, if any, parts make you uncomfortable? If any of it does, or if you simply want to support the women and girls around you, maybe go have some conversations. This knowledge and these conversations that we ALL must be having should become commonplace. After all, it does affect over 50% of the population and, in the grand scheme of things, it affects every single human. #femtech #womenshealthcare
