Special Board Member Spotlight: Say HELLO to Sarah Katharina Heintz Born and bred in Speyer, Germany, she moved to Cape Town in 2010 with a Master's Degree in Psychology. Fast forward to 2019, when she turned her love for PPC and digital marketing into a business venture - Digital Fox. Having worked on over 300 national and international brands across various industries, Digital Fox has grown from strength to strength even expanding into the European market. Below, she shares some of her learnings through her involvement with EO Accelerator: What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned through EOA? For someone who studied psychology and not business or accounting, EOA has been invaluable in scaling my business in a profitable and sustainable manner. It's the MBA on steroids combined with a close-knit community who is walking the same path of scaling. The business strategy insights and hacks from the Scaling Up framework was what helped me the most. Why would you encourage someone to join EOA? EOA is the best way to connect with like minded entrepreneurs. The social events are one-of-a-kind and the learning days give so much knowledge, it's hard to make up for that by just reading business books. The common goal we all share is to join EO - Entrepreneurs' Organization to connect with bigger size businesses and more experienced leaders. At the end of the day it's the eagerness and drive to scale that connects us all. How did EO/A change your business? I implemented new systems and processes to establish more clarity and employee engagement, the effect on the business was almost instant. It changed the way we structure the business' finances and track towards OKRs. What are you most looking forward to this year? The chapter retreat by EO at the end of February, the EOA end of year function and onboarding new members in June. What do you value the most about EOA? Despite having no initial knowledge, capital, or contacts, she successfully navigated the complexities of the wine industry and the Chinese market.
