The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has published its latest quarterly statutory homelessness statistics for England. ( https://bit.ly/4ePxdYf ) The figures are going up... in quarter 1 of this year 123,100 households were living in Temporary Accommodation (TA), an increase of nearly 20% year on year. We need to find better ways to help families out of TA and into safe, secure, affordable, good quality homes. It's why we exist... We are a socially responsible, not-for-profit, working with our member boroughs and ethical investors to find better ways of solving the housing crisis. Because a home changes everything. #ethicalinvesting #esg #homelessness #property #renting #propertyinvesting #esginvesting #patientcapital #londonproperty #brent #camden #croydon #enfield #hackney #harrow #havering #lewisham #merton #walthamforest

This initiative by Governor Gavin Newsom represents a significant step forward in addressing homelessness through innovative housing solutions. As advocates for sustainable living and community building, we are inspired by projects that align with our mission to create spaces where people can live and thrive. The construction of these tiny homes is not just about providing shelter; it's about building a future where everyone has a place to call home. However, having a home is different from merely having a shelter. If we don’t address the root issues—mental health, addiction, and the breakdown of the nuclear family—this project may not make the lasting impact we hope for. We're excited to see which companies will take the lead in this important effort and are hopeful that the focus will remain on quality, sustainability, and the well-being of the residents. It’s not enough to just build shelters; we must build communities. It's exciting to work together on building a better California.
More than 300 tiny homes are set to be constructed in Sacramento as the starting point of Governor Gavin Newsom's initiative to relocate unhoused individuals from encampments throughout California. This ambitious plan raises a crucial question: which companies will secure the most significant contracts in this statewide effort to address homelessness? #construction #tinyhouse #homelessness Elizabeth Singleton Alex Savva Malia Murray Elvis Summers Annie Hobson Roger Brul Rory Rubin, Modular BUILDING Solutions Daniel R. Proposition 5 addresses the challenges of affordability and homelessness in our region by allowing the passage of infrastructure bonds with a majority vote of 55%, consistent with thresholds for school bonds. This could impact homeless and housing-insecure residents in our area by providing much-needed funding for affordable housing along with the roads, sidewalks, parks, and other infrastructure to support new development. #lifemoves #lifemovesorg #webelieve #changemakers #vote

The Louisiana State Bond Commission approved over $25 million in funding for two affordable housing projects in New Orleans aimed at seniors, including $11 million for Canal Crossing Senior Apartments and $14.3 million for the Lafitte Phase VII Project. While these developments will provide 100 new affordable housing units, they come at a time when many residents, particularly those experiencing homelessness, continue to face a shortage of affordable housing options. #BizNewOrleans https://lnkd.in/gGkUSxxY
