Muslim US citizen men, have we still not broken our Wahn on this platform and said something, shared something, liked something to show our Creator we are not that ungrateful? Quran 9:13 "Do you fear them? But Allah has more right that you should fear Him, if you are [truly] believers." Is your family going to starve, be homeless, or be imprisoned for liking one of the thouands of videos of women and kids dying? If so, sure don't do it, and don't feel conflicted. Or are you realistically on the verge of becoming a country's president, building an army, making $200B, or negotiating a deal in other conflicts, and thus you calculate that you can save more women and kids or give more victory to the deen by staying silent? If so, sure don't do it, and don't feel conflicted. Otherwise, shouldn't we be scared about when The Prophet Muhammad (saw) warned of the following? "'The People will soon summon one another to attack you from every place in the same way that a pack calls around its prey' Someone asked, 'Will that be because of our small numbers at that time?' He replied, 'No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be like the foam of the river, and Allah will take the fear of you from the breasts (hearts) of your enemy and cast al-wahn into your hearts.' They asked 'O Messenger of Allah , what is al-wahn?' He replied, 'Love of the world and dislike of death.'" Shouldn't our greatest fear be being written as one of the foam? Isn't it time to fight this Wahn in our hearts and (forget death) at least show that we at least don't fear our professional network reputation? We will all surely try to rejoice in the inevitable victory, so how can we ignore such a small struggle until then? If we can't muster it now, with countless high definition videos of dead women and kids to choose from, and with the whole world on our side now (minus the government of maybe like maybe 5 countries), when will we muster it? Is it in us at all not to be written as the foam? Ibn Abbas reported: I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he said to me, “Young man, I will teach you some words. Be mindful of Allah and He will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him before you. If you ask, ask from Allah. If you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that if the nations gathered together to benefit you, they could not benefit you unless Allah has decreed it for you. And if the nations gathered together to harm you, they could not harm you unless Allah has decreed it for you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.” For some Muslim US citizen men, the silence is surely justified, but each of us knows in our hearts whether we really belong in that category. Just ask yourself why in the workplace they can all "support our troops", "never forget", "we stand with Ukraine", and "we condemn October 7th" but you can't even show them your dead women and kids?

It’s a striking reality that athletes with disabilities in Egypt often achieve more medals than their non-disabled counterparts. This phenomenon can be interpreted in two ways. On one hand, it might reflect the strong support and encouragement given to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to rise above their challenges. On the other hand, it may also point to a concerning issue: a lack of ambition or drive among those without disabilities. This contrast raises important questions about how we nurture aspirations and provide opportunities for all citizens, regardless of their circumstances. Just tell me what you think of this in a comment.
