Is proximity bias holding your team back? 👀 In hybrid workplaces, #proximitybias is the silent culprit that can stunt the growth of or even make you lose your remote talents. When managers unconsciously favour in-office employees for promotions and projects, the entire team’s potential suffers. Let’s face it, it’s easy to value what’s physically close to us—it's human nature! But in a hybrid world, we must be intentional about how we measure success. Focus on outcomes, not just office presence. So how do you prevent it? 💪 Performance reviews based on results. 👩🏻💻 Regular 1:1 check-ins for all team members. 👨🏽🤝👨🏻 Virtual team building to foster connection. ✍🏼 Measure output, not hours. 👉 Want to manage your hybrid teams more effectively? Hey everyone, hope you're doing great! I recently stumbled upon some golden nuggets on leadership in the hybrid workplace, and I couldn't wait to share a few key points that struck a chord with me. As we adjust to this blend of office and remote work, it's a whole new ball game of leadership. These insights have sparked fresh ideas on how we can empower our teams, no matter where they're working from—be it the boardroom, the cozy home office, or virtually from anywhere—inspired by the wisdom of 'Thrive With a Hybrid Workplace' by Felice Ekelman and Julie Kantor. 1. Cultural Unity: Let's create a shared vision and values that resonate across our diverse team, bridging the gap between office and remote. A strong culture fuels productivity and personal satisfaction. 2. Navigating Change: Change is never easy, but it's our journey together. Providing a clear process for everyone—local or remote—is key. Let's steer clear of micromanagement, clarify roles, and take one step at a time into this hybrid world. 3. Effective Communication: Clear, consistent communication is the glue that holds us together. Let's ensure everyone is in the loop, whether it's through shared documents, virtual meetings, or good old-fashioned chats. 4. Building Team Bonds: It's all about fostering connections! Regular office hours, virtual hangouts, and team rituals keep the spirit alive. Let's cultivate camaraderie and mentorship among our team members. 5. Compassion & Support: Our team's well-being is paramount. Let's listen, understand, and support each other through the ups and downs. A little empathy goes a long way in building a resilient team. 6. Coaching for Growth: Each team member is on a unique growth journey. Let's be approachable, offer constructive feedback, and empower them with the tools they need to excel—whether they're working locally or remotely. In this ever-evolving landscape, adapting is our superpower. Let's seize the moment to become employers of choice, nurture our team's development, and boost productivity. #HybridLeadership #TeamSuccess #ThriveTogether #Growth #HybridWorkplace #HybridTeam

Bagels go a long way. There are many opportunities to be fun and generous as a leader, you just have to know where to start. Take the hybrid and remote work experiences: In a remote workplace, employees have a lot of flexibility, but there’s less time for face-to-face interaction and more focus on communicating digitally. It’s easy for communication to feel distant, so it’s important to make an effort to bridge the gap. Reach out, set up frequent check-ins, or create a space where employees can connect, network, and ask questions regularly. In hybrid workplaces, you have the advantage of in-person interactions. When people come into the office, make the most of it—take time to sit down, get to know them, and see how you can support them. And yes, even something as simple as bringing in bagels shows your team that you care and appreciate them. Little gestures go a long way in fostering connection and a positive work environment. Like I said – a bagel goes a long way! #Remote #Hybrid #Leadership

Today's remote work environment poses challenges for maintaining organizational culture and values. During the pandemic, some companies operated exclusively remotly. This shift affected cultural induction processes for new employees and the transmission of company values. As we adapt to an hybrid work model, organizations face the crucial task of ensuring their values are effectively communicated in a remote setting. One approach is to leverage technology to create virtual spaces that foster interaction and collaboration. Regular virtual meetings, team-building activities, and digital recognition programs can help bridge the gap. Moreover, clear communication of company values through digital platforms ensures that all employees, regardless of location, understand and embody these principles. Consistent messaging and leadership engagement are key to reinforcing the organizational culture. How can organizations further enhance the transmission of their values in a remote or hybrid work environment? 🔄 **Exploring the Hybrid Work Model: Your Insights Needed!** 🔄 I'm working on some content around the "Hybrid Work Model" and would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Many companies have transitioned from fully remote to hybrid, often citing enhanced collaboration 🤝, team bonding 🤗, and other cultural benefits 🌟. I genuinely believe in the unique advantages of in-person collaboration that are difficult to replicate remotely. However, I'm particularly interested in the less common narrative: teams that shifted from a hybrid model (3+ days in the office) to a more remote-centric approach 🏡. These stories are rarely highlighted, and I'm eager to learn about the benefits you’ve experienced with a more employee-centric working model. If your team has made this transition, please share your experiences. How has this change impacted productivity 📈, team dynamics 👥, work-life balance ⚖️, and overall employee satisfaction 😊? Looking forward to hearing your valuable insights! #HybridWork #RemoteWork #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeExperience #TeamCollaboration
