Christmas came early this year for our Shared Services team with a bit of an unconventional Christmas party... 🎄 Yesterday afternoon, the heartbeat of our business—covering finance, marketing, systems and learning & development—took a well-earned break to celebrate their hard work and dedication this year. Starting with lunch at Bill’s, they then took to the racecourse to unleash their competitive sides at TeamSport for a go karting Grand Prix. A huge congratulations to our Head of Learning & Development, Matthew Sykes, who raced to victory and claimed the top spot on the podium🏆 Thank you to our Shared Services function for everything you do to keep the business running at the top of its game behind the scenes. Here’s to a successful 2024 and many more celebrations to come! #SharedServices #Recruitment #Christmas

Is your company prioritizing a Christmas party over investing in YOUR future? We all love a good party, but wouldn’t you rather have the skills to earn a bigger bonus next year? Why do some companies splurge on Christmas parties but don’t allocate any budget for training? Those skills can really boost your team’s performance and improve the bottom line! What’s more important: a one-night celebration or equipping your team with valuable skills for the entire year? You decide. 👇 (But let’s be honest—wouldn’t you rather have BOTH? 😉) Share your thoughts in the comments! #companyculture #employeevalue #priorities #WorkplaceWisdom #EmployeeDevelopment

Gearing Up for Year-End! As the year comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the incredible efforts of our teams and celebrate their achievements. At Lever1, we’re excited to focus on a few meaningful initiatives: Employee of the Year Nominations: We’re recognizing the outstanding contributions of our colleagues with our first-ever Employee of the Year award. The winner will be announced at our upcoming holiday party—a special moment to honor the dedication, excellence, and impact of our team members! Holiday Celebrations: From our recent Spooktacular event to our Friendsgiving gathering, and soon, our Holiday Party, these celebrations remind us of the power of connection and community. They’re more than just fun—they’re a way to show gratitude for a year of hard work, collaboration, and shared success. These traditions are more than events—they’re opportunities to strengthen the bonds that make us successful together. How does your organization celebrate and honor its people at year-end? Let’s share ideas to create memorable and meaningful moments! #EmployeeRecognition, #HolidayCelebrations, #HRLeadership, #Gratitude

68% of you said that your #lunch breaks are unpaid. My question is for those 32% that are paid....are the paid lunches taken into consideration with your 2024 or upcoming 2025 #budget? Meaning is your customer somehow paying for these paid breaks? Do your team members know this is a perk and part of their salary? Don't just let paid lunches slip by and eat into your company #profits! #thegreenexecutive #golmn #profitfirst

What Do You Think This? Most of us want to feel rewarded and recognized for a job well done. And most employers want to incentivize their workers to perform well and stay engaged. While these two things should align, employers unfortunately don’t always get it right. A team dinner can be a fun culmination of a group project, or it can feel like a frustrating stand-in if you were hoping for a monetary reward. On the flip side, a cash bonus quietly appearing in your inbox may feel strange if you expected public recognition for a heroic work accomplishment. Yet some people would rather call in sick than stand in front of their colleagues to receive an award.

As the holiday season approaches, you might be gearing up to celebrate with your team! Before you dive into the festivities, it's important to consider whether your event could attract Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT). 🤔 The tax implications will depend on several factors, including: 🎉 The amount spent per employee 🎉 The timing and location of the celebration 🎉 The attendees 🎉 The value and type of any gifts given Be sure to check these details to avoid any surprises!

Questions… ❓⁉️❓ It’s that time of year again, you’ll notice your Jewish coworkers are out for 1 or 2 days because it’s Passover. ✡️ With everything going on, it’s safe to say that it’s extremely important for Jews around the world to be celebrating this year in particular. But I would like to focus on questions as the theme to my post. 🇮🇱 In any organization questioning should be welcomed, encouraged and celebrated. All too often we find employees scared to ask. 🙋🙋♀️🙋♂️. Radio Silence. Organizations need to ask to find out answers from stakeholders such as clients, donors and more importantly employees in order to drive success. Employees that feel confident to ask provide a vibrant organizational environment that is full of ideas and conversations (trust me you’ll know what I mean when you see it!!!) That’s what this time of year brings. The Passover holiday is purely there so people ask. It’s quite profound if you ponder on it for a few minutes. Maybe the answer to questions is not the part we crave, but rather the asking which provides us with insight into decisions we need to make for our organization. Take a moment to consider how you encourage asking in your teams and wider organization. Questions from different employees can spur incredible insights and ideas to make your organization stand out. Give it a shot and let me know how it goes ⬇️

FOREVER PAYDAY... I love hearing what the team are spending their Bonus on.. Yep, not only do you earn profit from everything you Retail, but, Every Month, you could also have the potential to earn a Bonus on top of that Profit... One lady is spending it on her sons 13th birthday party next month. Some are spending it on a holiday for this summer, or Spending money for their holiday. Another is spending it on redecorating her house & doing up her garden so she can enjoy it more this summer. I'm saving all mine up so we can have a fantastic Christmas, without even getting the credit card out.. Does your company give you a Bonus each month? What would you spend your bonus on? #monthlybonus #extraincome #networkmarketing #socialretail #directselling

We were in The Sunday Times yesterday. They published the Best Places to Work 2024 and lil ol' Entrepreneurs Circle is officially one of those places. Which is really nice. For everybody. They interviewed staff here, everyone on payroll had a questionnaire to fill out. It was proper. So, from tomorrow, you'll see the official 'Best Places to Work' logo on our marketing and website etc. We'll shout pretty loud about it, because it will help our business. Ironically, we're not currently recruiting (we hired 11 new staff in April and shouldn't need any more until well into the second half of the year) but it doesn't matter. Being recognised properly and formally as one of the 'Best Places to Work' in the country enhances our positioning. It boosts our credibility. It helps people take us more seriously. It rubs off... And that's why we've all got a little extra spring in our step here at EC today. (Matt the Butler in particular is proud as punch!!). And I share our little moment in the spotlight with you, not to brag, but to remind you that POSITIONING matters. A lot. And all your 'not-yet-a-customer' people out there, who don't know you from Adam, can and will be influenced by things like this. Awards and accreditations do make a difference. Not to everybody, I get that. But to enough to make it worth your time and energy to pursue an accolade or two. There are plenty of them around. And you deserve one or two, don't you?
