I am receiving an overwhelming number of emails, between 50-80 per day, regarding the PhD scholarship below. I am truly grateful for the interest in the topic however I feel bad being unable to respond to each one individually. If an applicant does not receive a reply from me within a week, it likely indicates a misalignment between the CV and the scholarship’s requirements, and thus I do not recommend spending good time on making a formal application. Common reasons for this misalignment include 1) insufficient research experience and 2) lack of the necessary background knowledge. I have also noticed a few identical CVs submitted under different names, which is confusing. If you do not receive a reply from me, please know that I appreciate your interest and welcome your application. However, this might not be the right time or the right role for you. Please continue your efforts, and our paths may cross again in the future.

The identical CVs under different names are a worrying but not unusual trend, especially if the position is open to PhD students worldwide.
