Navigating complexity is high up on the agenda for engineering leads. A distributed approach has its benefits, but it does come with challenges. Increased overheads of building, deploying and maintaining, comms and the increased surface area meaning more security and more compliance. This coming Thursday at 4pm join Headforwards’ own engineering experts and external colleagues for a discussion on navigating the development sprawl and the inevitable complexity of distributed architectures. There is a similarity between the way organizations often communicate and a distributed monolith software architecture. The people are distributed, but there is still tight temporal coupling. This hurts efficiency and scalability. Enjoying the benefits of a distributed system requires being intentional about using distributed communication patterns.
