Sell before you build. Software-engineer-turned-founder tip no1: DO NOT BUILD ANYTHING UNTIL SOMEONE PAYS YOU FOR THE CONCEPT. This is hard for me. This hard for our whole cohort of 100M coding engineers world. We are born product first. 🧑💻 We think ICP: “user needs this” or “user needs that.” Guess what? User doesn’t need anything until they pay you for it. Trust me sis. Go sell. Build later. Arugubly building difficultly is all time low. With claude 3.5, cursor and vercel v0. And selling is also all time low. Imho we, as in gen z and alpha, lack great speaking skills So selling is a “high effort” item But sell before you build. Sell the concept of your SAAS or ai copoilot before you spent months building and polishing. Agree? Ps this photo was taken on the swiss alps
Question: While doing this, should consumer needs be a priority? or some market niche need?
Yasin Ehsan 🚀 Sound perfect. But where should we sell or present the idea to the end users, except LinkedIn ? any platform you have in mind.
> Imho we, as in gen z and alpha, lack high speaking skills Quick story: A while ago I met a Police Chief who wanted to hire me as an English Professor to teach his police force how to write police reports with proper spelling and grammar and punctuation and The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. What high speaking skills, exactly and precisely, are needed by Generation Z and Alpha that they might like to acquire? Inquiring minds want to know! 🌈🙏🌈
Unique perspective. Any recommendations for such platforms?
that only works if you have a good salesperson who wants to put in the work, and good salespeople are rare, people like that who want to actually do the work are even rare
Dang bro this is fire advice. I'm used to B2b and b2c already as a signing agent just learning the technical side now. I'm going to start selling websites to companies once I'm ready but you're right, Claude AI can pump out a LOT of the work for you 100%.
Totally agree—validating the idea before building is crucial for success!
Sounds good. Can you give an example of what you would sell or how?
I concur.

3wGreat advice. I didn’t realize until I did how far good speaking skills can take you. Like how does someone even pay for your concept if you can’t even communicate it effectively? Being a good communicator goes a long way for sure.
