Everyone is trying to establish their next foothold. Here is how to do it. To gain a foothold you need to: - Identify the weak point you want to penetrate. - Suppress the enemy to isolate that point and allow for troops to move to it safely. - Send the minimum amount of people to gain an initial foothold. - Quickly flow forces to expand the foothold. https://lnkd.in/gkT75RbC

One of my original ideas for War and Business stemmed from hearing someone use the term 'establish a beachhead' when referring to a startup. It's better described as flowing your forces which I go over in this article.

An excellent short story here
Retired Police Officer, Veteran Advocate, Documentary Film Producer & Author of the books, "The Giant Killer" and "Giant Killers, War Heroes & Special Forces Legends"
U.S. Army Medal of Honor Recipient Michael Novosel: On October 2, 1969, Chief Warrant Officer Novosel, was serving as commander of a medical evacuation helicopter. He unhesitatingly maneuvered his helicopter into a heavily fortified and defended enemy camp where a group of wounded South Vietnamese soldiers were pinned down by a large enemy force. Flying without gunship or other cover and exposed to intense machine-gun fire, CWO Novosel was able to locate and rescue a wounded soldier. Since all communications with the beleaguered troops had been lost, he repeatedly circled the battle area, flying at low level under continuous heavy fire, to attract the attention of the scattered friendly troops. This display of courage visibly raised their morale, as they recognized this as a signal to assemble for evacuation. On six occasions he and his crew were forced out of the battle area by the intense enemy fire, only to circle and return from another direction to land and extract additional troops. Near the end of the mission, a wounded soldier was spotted close to an enemy bunker. Fully realizing that he would attract a hail of enemy fire, CWO Novosel nevertheless attempted the extraction by hovering the helicopter backward. As the man was pulled on board, enemy automatic weapons opened fire at close-range, damaged the aircraft and wounded CWO Novosel. He momentarily lost control of the aircraft, but quickly recovered and departed under the withering enemy fire. In all 15 extremely hazardous extractions were performed in order to remove wounded personnel. As a direct result of his selfless conduct, the lives of 29 soldiers were saved. The extraordinary heroism displayed by CWO Novosel was an inspiration to his comrades in arms and reflect great credit on him, his unit, and the U.S. #usmilitary #USArmy #Vietnamwar #Medalofhonor #Militarylife

Agree 💯 Ukrainians have become exceptionally skilled #combinedarms warriors (on every front). Russians are still the same old WW2 jump-into-the-meat grinder with no basic training expendables (augmented by Iranian drones and 3000 lb #glidebombs. We perhaps ought to be sending Ukraine more EW #cuav gear—and #airdefense missiles whose range is ~1.3 > than that of the glide bombs (they exist—we’ve got ‘em in inventory). That would be finis Russki launch platform. That should handle it. The tactical modus here ought to be painfully clear: Every time Russia comes up with a new way to attack Ukraine, Ukraine’s western partners quickly provide Ukraine with the means to swat them like flies. Just do it… Because the *strategic objective* is cloaking Putin in utter humiliation and impotence. (And, no—Russia will not be using nuclear weapons in any war over Ukraine.) Want the war to end? This is how we do it. #russiafail #orcwarfare #howtobeatrussia #armukrainenow #sendtherightweapons #standwithukraine 🇺🇦

🔥 Witness the incredible skill and bravery of Ukraine’s 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade as they execute a flawless combined arms operation on the Pokrovsk axis. The operation featured pinpoint coordination between a reconnaissance drone, a Bradley fighting vehicle, and powerful 155-millimeter artillery. The result? The enemy was mowed down by the Bradley’s Bushmaster rapid-fire cannon, and the soldiers were safely evacuated back to their main positions. 🇺🇦 It was nearly 20 years ago that I completed the US Army Mechanized Leaders Course, learning all the intricacies and awesome capabilities of the Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Armed with that experience, I can say that this is what true professionalism and courage look like on the battlefield and I am proud to support Ukraine. Every day, these warriors demonstrate their unwavering commitment to defending Ukraine's freedom and sovereignty. Their actions serve as a powerful reminder that the occupiers will never break Ukraine’s spirit. Glory to Ukraine! 💪 #SlavaUkraini #StandWithUkraine #ArmUkraineNow #DeOppressoLiber #VictoryForUkraine Special Operations Association of America Irregular Warfare Initiative Irregular Warfare Center (IWC) Center for European Policy Analysis

Hiding in the black forest from the "Black Forest" brigade isn’t the smartest move. Especially when you're a rare, high-value, 'one-of-a-kind' target, hunted by SHARK with night vision and automatic target tracking. The destroyed 1K148 "Yastreb-AV" radar system, according to enemy classification, is an advanced radar complex designed to detect firing (launch) positions. Simply put, it allows the enemy to quickly locate where our artillery is operating from. This complex started entering service with the russian army only at the end of 2021. While its specs are classified, the estimated cost is around $250 million. One precise strike — and that sum gets added to the score of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. #SHARKUAS

CNN Thank you for taking the time to let people know the state of the hospital post IDF operation. Just a small note, can you also include how many Hamas high level commanders were captured? Or high light that under the convention, this hospital should not be used to protect, store, or be used by Hamas? And if it used for military purposes then the IDF has the right to view it as a legitimate target! Now I was not there but this is the definition of close contact warfare! Can you try to do some actual reporting and include the number of civilians killed? This was an operation that will redefine urban warfare and military planers will study to learn from it! If you disagree let me know l, here or privately let’s have an honest discussion! #OpenToDiscuss
