Living in this era, we find ourselves constantly surrounded by leaders who seem to prioritize emotion over intellect. It's a reality we grapple with, as quoted by Margaret Thatcher, 'Do you know that one of the great problems of our age is that we are governed by people who care more about feelings than they do about thoughts and ideas.' Let's strive to change this narrative through open discussions and shared knowledge.#aquascape #quotesaboutlifequotesandsayings #quotetoliveby #quotesaboutlifequotesandsayings #followtheleader #quotesforyou #quotesoflife #quotetoliveby

।। Disorganization - The boon and misdune ।। The elusive muse of chaos, may it be personal or at work place, bestows its enigmatic favors upon those daring enough to embrace its unpredictable waltz. To some, it whispers secrets of innovation, granting freedom from the shackles of convention and nurturing the seeds of creativity in the fertile soil of disorder. Yet, within this beguiling chaos lies a shadow that darkens the paths of the powerless. Like actors in a play without a script, they stumble through the labyrinth of unclear hierarchies and ambiguous processes, denied the spotlight of recognition and advancement. In this theater of uncertainty, where meritocracy yields to the caprice of favoritism, the overlooked voices cry out for justice in the silence of disorder. Thus, while disorganization may inspire brilliance in the chosen few, its cost is paid by those left stranded in the wings, yearning for the clarity of structure and the fairness of a well-scripted narrative. A hard, rather harsh reality, which is part of our lives, one way or the other, one side or the other... Anyone can be easily influenced based on their environment and preconceived biases, regardless of their character. Although we all have morals, science proves that social influences in our environment may have a stronger effect on our choices and we may be oblivious of it in the moment. This can be seen through the idea of The Power Paradox by Dacher Keltner. The Power Paradox focuses on an individual's behavior in a leadership position who may be a good leader and have quality characteristics at first. However, the problem arises when the leader’s empathy circuit dampens and they use their status to put their agenda above others as they get consumed by their perceived worth. It is important to be aware of influences like these since the majority may be uneducated on cognitive biases like this example. The more we are aware moving forward, the better leaders and people we will become to create a greater sense of community. #CognitiveBias Zachary Talbot https://lnkd.in/dhTqa_YY - Power Paradox https://lnkd.in/dNCjmXU4 - Empathy Circuit

“If others tell us something, we make assumptions, and if they don’t tell us something, we make assumptions to fulfil our need to know and replace the need to communicate. Even if we hear something and don’t understand, we make assumptions about what it means and then believe the assumptions. We make all sorts of assumptions because we don’t have the courage to ask questions.” Miguel Ruiz Assumptions: we all make them. It’s natural – it’s human - a way of recognising patterns, a shortcut our brains use to make sense of the world. But as useful as they may be, assumptions often come with blind spots, painting situations with incomplete truths or unfair misjudgments - they can be cruel (to ourselves and others!) What if, instead of acting on assumptions, we took a little more time to pause and examine them? What difference could it make in our interactions and decisions? Taking a moment to challenge our assumptions – to dig a little deeper, asking a few more questions, truly listening to the answers – not only keeps us honest, it’ll also strengthen our relationships. It reminds us that there’s always more to a story than what we assume at first glance. And that’s a worthy reminder for us all. The Power of Herd Mentality and the Importance of "De-Herding" Human nature inclines us to seek group identity, but this instinct is often exploited by powerful figures like politicians, spiritual leaders, and even celebrities. In today's world, entertainment can have a significant influence on our perceptions. While many actors and public figures enter politics, it’s important to ask ourselves: Do they have a vision for the people, or is their appeal largely based on fame? Through media-driven echo chambers and charismatic authority, herd mentality can lead to manipulation and control, limiting our capacity for critical thinking. To counter this, we must practice de-herding — cultivating self-awareness and independent thought. By embracing critical thinking, media literacy, and personal reflection, we can preserve our individuality and avoid falling into the traps of collective influence, whether it comes from entertainment or other areas of society. The goal isn’t isolation but maintaining autonomy while participating in society. Let’s focus on fostering independent thought and resisting manipulation, while still appreciating the positive influence that entertainment and leadership can bring when used responsibly. #Mindfulness #Leadership #CriticalThinking #MediaLiteracy #HerdMentality #Entertainment

Have you ever wondered how much more effective we could be if we truly followed our passions? Real impact starts with personal passion. When we focus on what genuinely excites and motivates us, we naturally bring more energy and dedication to what we do. This not only leads to our own personal fulfillment but also inspires those around us, creating a ripple effect of positive change. So why not: 1. Reflect on what truly excites and motivates you. 2. Trust that living authentically leads to positive contributions to society. 3. Make time for personal growth and self-discovery. Thurman's quote aligns beautifully with the concept of 'mirror thinking' (my second book - link below) - the idea that we reflect and are influenced by those around us. When we pursue what makes us 'come alive', we not only transform ourselves but also positively impact those in our sphere of influence and beyond. It’s such a powerful and constructive way to make a difference. https://lnkd.in/dMgKnQNk #mirrorthinking #socialinfluence #positivechange #personalgrowth #makeadifference

Have you ever wondered how ancient wisdom could illuminate our modern dilemmas? 🕊️ Today, let's explore a timeless truth from the New Testament: Love your neighbor as yourself. Amid today's global challenges, this simple directive feels more relevant than ever. - What does it mean in today's world? - The hustle of modern life often isolates us in digital silos, forgetting those right beside us. Yet, this ancient advice urges us to: - Embrace empathy. - Act with kindness. - Seek understanding first, judgment second. 🌐 In a connected world, who is our neighbor? Everyone. From the colleague we've never met in-person to the remote communities impacted by our daily choices. 🔗 Takeaway: Every interaction is an opportunity to practice this principle. Whether it's offering a word of encouragement, supporting a local business, or simply sharing a smile, the ripples of our actions are powerful. 💡 Reflection: How will you show love to your neighbors today? --- Let's inspire change, one act of kindness at a time. #Leadership #Empathy #GlobalCommunity

At a TED Talk, Daniel Kahneman, the renowned behavioral economist, distinguishes the "Experiencing Self" from the "Remembering Self". He explains how both selves have different conceptions of happiness. "Experiencing Self" is barely a few seconds long and large trenches of such time vanish in the vacuum. However, the "Remembering Self" is about the memories of what happened, it's the story you tell yourself. It's your "Remembering Self" that influences your decisions, the "Experiencing Self" has little say in most matters. We rarely have an objective view of the past. In fact, a lot of how we see a certain event is controlled by how we think it panned out in the present. An unpleasant event that is seen to have ended well is seldom characterized as “unpleasant”. Likewise, a failed end-result can completely erase the memory of an excellent start. https://lnkd.in/gDR2-zWY
