Plastics are everywhere – in the air we breathe, the food we eat and the water we drink. Toxic substances leach into our bodies. It’s happening all around the world. The solution? A Global Treaty to #StopPlasticPollution. Leaders must deliver.
The improper disposal of waste leads to the degradation of the environment. When plastic waste is exposed to UV rays, the plastic breaks down into microplastics. These microplastics disrupt the ecosystem through biomagnification and bioaccumulation, posing a threat to the ocean ecosystem. To avoid ecosystem disruption, we should find alternatives to plastic usage and stop the production of plastics.
The way this material is poorly disposed on environment is dictated by its non regulated abundance and low price, suggesting that everything can be "plastic boxed" - which include ourselves, under external or internal perspectives. This is not a threat, it is a real and dangerous impact to the life in this planet. 🤲🌎🤲
Every human being can do something to improve current situation, reducing the size of the impact of microplastics for future generations, now it’s easy, once it has become microparticles, complicated and expensive, Act now ! Don’t delegate upwards to politicians and „leaders“ ……be a true leader yourself!
What a strong video and right initiatives are needed to curb plastic pollution. I only have one question which I haven't got any reply yet and that is the Local Chapter like WWF-Pakistan have started partnership with Coca-Cola Pakistan and Pepsi Cola. Do far there is no clearance from any of the representatives on this Greenwashing that they are doing for the top polluters of the world in Pakistan.
Think we're past that. We need a Global Treaty to stop manufacturing plastic. No sarcasm intended.
Leaders must deliver , We need to be champions of ending plastic pollution in and around us at all cost possible. As director Northern wolves we believe in that

17hI’ve seen the devastating impact of plastic pollution in Lake Kivu, Goma, DR Congo, and it was deeply disappointing to witness how far we’ve let this issue go. Both wildlife and people are suffering because of it. While it’s vital to push governments to take action, we also need to start awareness campaigns to educate communities and drive change from the ground up.
