[Value chain co-financing mechanisms] https://lnkd.in/e5uuwYuA This case study highlights a successful collaboration between Yara International and PepsiCo Europe to reduce shared #Scope3 emissions through better fertilizer management. By combining Yara’s expertise in nutrient management with PepsiCo’s agronomy team and on-farm data, the partnership reduces greenhouse gas emissions in a cost-effective and scalable way. Through this collaboration, low-carbon fertilizers and optimized nitrogen use are reducing up to 80% of emissions from fertilizer production and 20% of on-farm emissions by 2030. The project, which began with potato farmers in Europe, will scale to other crops and regions, providing a replicable model for decarbonizing agriculture. I had the pleasure to co-author a byline for @Agribusiness Global about a topic that brings me to my homeland, Brazil. “The growth of the biologicals market, specifically in Brazil, is based on a nurtured “ecosystem.” There is a concerted effort between regulatory, government support, and educational programs, to provide the production system with increasing alternatives for growers.” Read to learn more about Why South America Is an 'Ideal Hub' for Biopesticide Innovation
With the global push towards sustainable agriculture, the biopesticide market is experiencing explosive growth. Brazil is at the forefront of this expansion, with its biopesticide market expected to continue maintaining a rapid pace.
