It's almost time for the annual AICCO State Board Election! Election Details Date: Monday, December 9 Time: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Location: Margaritaville (River Spirit) Address: 8330 Riverside Pkwy, Tulsa, OK 74137 Registered Native Businesses, Native Individuals and Native Students who are up to date on their membership dues are eligible to vote. Each year three (3) AICCO members are elected to the State Board to serve 3-year terms. Participating in these elections is important because your elected AICCO State Board members guide the AICCO throughout the years. Anyone nominated for a board seat must be a Native AICCO member in good standing. Nominees must be on-site the day of the election to introduce themselves and answer questions. They will have an opportunity to share what they believe they can contribute to AICCO as a state board member. Floor nominations will also be accepted. The State Board meets monthly and offers a virtual link and a phone line. Board Members will be asked to serve on committees and be available to attend Chamber and other events across the State. Board Members must not miss more than three non-consecutive meetings without prior notice to the Board of Directors. Additional Information Officers will be elected by the AICCO State Board at a later date in December to serve one-year terms. This means officer positions will not be decided at the December 9 election; just the board members will be decided on this day. State board members may then nominate a fellow board member or self-nominate at the December 16 State Board meeting for the following positions: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Important Update: The Eastern Chapter Election will take place immediately following the State Board Election. We look forward to your participation in the upcoming AICCO elections!

Vote ASAP: A New TurboVote Election Reminder We're excited to launch a new "Vote ASAP" reminder for the 2024 General Election on TurboVote. This additional reminder encourages voters to take action as soon as voting options become available in their state. Here's how it works: 🗳️ States with in-person early voting: Voters receive a reminder 2-3 weeks before Election Day. 📫 All-mail voting states: Voters receive a reminder eight days before Election Day. This timely nudge helps increase turnout by encouraging voters to cast their ballots early. Each reminder links to a personalized, dynamically updated election guide, ensuring voters always have access to the most current information and next steps. Partners can customize these reminders to include their organization's name and enable the election guide links to open within their own TurboVote embed, increasing engagement and reinforcing trust. ⏰ Sign up for election reminders today at turbovote.org. 💡 Learn more about partnering with TurboVote at partners.turbovote.org. #Election2024

July 15th was the day for campaign financials to be reported to both the state Board of Elections (BOE) and the Federal Election Commission (FEC). In New York all registered committees, including those that were not involved in a primary election this year, were required to file. The filings for New York State candidates are from mid-January 2024 through July 11; for candidates involved in last month’s primaries the data is just from June 10. For federal candidates the reports are for the second quarter of 2024 except for Congressman Tim Kennedy, who is reporting for activity since April 18 because of the special election in the 26th District. The reports are one indication of where campaigns stand and if the opposition is posing a serious threat. In recent years candidate committees have become much better at reporting before the BOE deadlines but there are always a few stragglers. I will update this post later in the week with any additional information that becomes available. If only one candidate is listed, that indicates that there is no identified opposition. The new state Public Campaign Finance Program (PCFP) is complicating reporting in this cycle. The Program requires candidates who have applied to participate to shut down their previous committee and merge it with a new committee that will include any state funding that they receive. In the case of some candidates who have applied for state funding the complete July data is not yet being reported. It appears likely that at least some candidates who have applied for state funding may receive such funding at some point in time, which will boast their treasury balances.
Just the facts – reporting on campaign financials

WHEN EARLY VOTING IN FLORIDA...COUNT BACKWARD FROM NOVEMBER 5, 2024,,, When is Early Voting? Early voting is required in any election that contains a state or federal office race. The early voting period must start at least on the 10th day before the election and end on the 3rd day before the election. In addition, supervisors of elections have the option to offer more early voting on the 15th, 14th, 13th, 12th, 11th, or 2nd day before an election. Supervisors of Elections must designate early voting sites no later than 30 days prior to an election. Early voting hours must be at least 8 hours but no more than 12 hours per day at each site during the applicable period. The Supervisor of Elections may provide early voting for elections that are not held in conjunction with a state or federal election. However, the supervisor has the option to determine the early voting hours for those site(s). How Do I Vote Early? Eligible and registered voters can vote at any early voting site within the county when the site is open.
