All Business Intelligence tools, like Power BI for instance, have at least one beautiful way of showing an important KPI and the information related to it. These are called Tiles, or Cards, or maybe they have different other names depending on the tool, but what is important is that they are highly relevant for executive dashboards, usually presented on the top of the main page. Their role is to focus attention on a certain important KPI, presented in a summarized manner, in order to have it available together with evolution graphs, for example. We can obtain a similar result in Excel as well, with a little bit of data preparation, in order to get dynamic KPIs as the user is selecting different options using existing slicers. In our example today, we have a small dashboard presenting the evolution of monthly sales for all years and clients we have available in our source data. We are using slicers to further filter the information on years and/or clients, and we would like a dynamic KPI shown on top of this dashboard, with sales information for the year prior to the one we’ve selected, for all clients and/or for a specific client, as value and as evolution compared to previous year’s sales value. Let’s take a look at how we can achieve this! #Excel #Consultancy #Course #Training #FinancialManagement #Controlling #Reporting #DataManagement #WowFactor #WowFactorConcept #TranslateDataIntoRelevantExcelReports #Romanian #Online #ExcelExpertise #ExcelHowTo #KPI #KeyMetrics https://lnkd.in/d3i5hJ7e

Sharing a project I’ve been working on for Data X – a Sales Performance Dashboard in Excel! 🎉 This project involved: - Designing an intuitive layout using PowerPoint for a professional and user-friendly interface. - Incorporating slicers and filters for dynamic data analysis by date, category, and region. - Automating data updates with VBA to ensure real-time accuracy. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience, especially learning and applying VBA simultaneously to add the automation features. Check out the dashboard and let me know your thoughts! 💼📊 #DataAnalysis #Excel #Dashboard #SalesPerformance #VBA #DataVisualization
