Starting on March 11, 2024, Google Ads began automatically pausing ad groups that meet the following criteria: Created at least 13 months ago: This means the ad group was created before February 11, 2023. No impressions in the past 13 months: The ad group hasn't received any impressions (ad views) since February 11, 2023. This change aims to improve budget efficiency for advertisers by automatically pausing ad groups that are unlikely to be performing well. Here are some key points to remember: The rollout is gradual and expected to be completed by April 30, 2024. You can still unpause ad groups if you believe they are relevant and have potential. However, Google recommends only unpausing those you expect to receive impressions in the coming weeks. Quick Google Ads tip. Unless you are spending A LOT and are getting A LOT of traffic, don't have 3 ads per ad group. I would say 1 is enough, and 2 is max. You have 15 headlines and 4 description lines. Even if you PIN headlines to specific positions (H1 Keyword related, H2 Benefit/Social proof/ whatever, H3 CTA) it is A LOT of combinations that Google can create. It is already hard for the algorithm to figure out which combination to use just in 1 responsive search ad. If you have 2 or 3 in the same ad group it just gets too much to figure out which combinations and ads really work. One of our clients (90k ad spend) had 2-3 ads in each ad group. I did the cleanup and kept only 1 ad in each ad group. CTR and conversion rate improved. For this client, I'm starting to add another ad (RSA) in ad groups that have a lot of traffic, but that's like 5 ad groups maybe. -- Despite not being best practice, you might even want to consider not using all 15 headlines. However, not sure yet how the blackbox algo would react to that. It could be that you would loose some auctions because of it 🤷♂️

📣 Meta Marketing API Launch - Multi-advertiser ads showcase ads from multiple advertisers, helping advertisers drive performance by reaching more people looking to go deeper in their shopping journey. Delivery will be default-off for now, meaning developers will need to implement the control on their third-party platforms in order for advertisers to have the option to opt in to the feature. However, starting August 19th, multi-advertiser ads delivery via the Marketing API will become default-on, meaning developers will need to implement the feature by then in order for advertisers to maintain the ability to opt out.
