Amazing days at #RenmadHidrogeno2024, fueled by inspiring presentations and panel discussions, led by industry experts, including Hy5’s Jaime Rojas in a panel discussion about scenarios of renewable hydrogen projects and future projections.   It was the perfect occasion for the Hy5 team to meet with partners, customers, technology providers, advisors and engineering companies 🤝   This, in combination with many cups of ☕, led to a unanimous conclusion: we have a bright future ahead of us for green hydrogen and its derivatives in Europe, provided: 1️⃣ 🌍 We collectively continue to work hard as the hydrogen industry, combatting climate change; 2️⃣ 📃EU directives and regulation are enforced at national level without any further delay for clear guidance and removal of uncertainty; 3️⃣ 📈 Appropriate incentive mechanisms continue to be made available, enabling global competitiveness and bankability of the projects in the near term, clearing the path for a fully sustainable hydrogen economy in the long run.   Thank you RENMAD - Energy Events for setting this important event, and see you next year.   #greenhydrogen #efuels #sustainability White Summit Capital #zeroemission #decarbonization #CCUS

Our team took center stage at the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2024 in #Rotterdam this week! At the 2nd Ministerial-Executive Roundtable, hosted by the International Hydrogen Trade Forum and the Hydrogen Council, along with a high-level #UAE delegation, we engaged in conversations following up on commitments from #COP28UAE. Our CGHO, Mohammad El-Ramahi, emphasized the importance of broader participation and alignment of standards to enable cost-efficient cross-border hydrogen trade. He highlighted the need for infrastructure to support hydrogen trade corridors from the #MiddleEast, #Africa, and the Americas to #Europe and #Asia. Florian Merz, Associate Director of Business Development in #Europe, tackled the challenges of financing #GreenHydrogen projects in a session titled “Filling the GH2 Financing Gap”. Nizam Salem, Director of Projects Development and Execution in #GreenHydrogen, participated in the Renewable Hydrogen Production panel, highlighting the need to invest in infrastructure to advance the global #GreenHydrogen economy. Meanwhile, Andreas Bieringer, Director of #GreenHydrogen Business Development and Commercial, contributed to discussions on realizing offtake agreements, highlighting #Masdar’s flagship #GreenHydrogen projects and discussing the unique opportunity we have to build partnerships that will shape a brand new industry. With every kilogram of #hydrogen containing three times as much energy as the equivalent mass of fossil fuels (as well as being a much cleaner fuel), I am delighted to see many organizations beginning to consider hydrogen as a fuel. However, to truly propel a #LowCarbonHydrogen economy forward, we must focus on how organizations can prioritize the scalability of this clean fuel. Together with EIT InnoEnergy, Capgemini surveyed professionals from nearly 120 companies and organizations from the Hydrogen sector to inform the latest white paper on low-carbon hydrogen. This report deep dives into how innovation is an underrated lever that needs to be activated to deliver game-changing impacts. I know firsthand the importance of driving efficiency while prioritizing environmental impact. According to our research, implementing cutting-edge strategies can yield remarkable cost reductions of up to 50%, paving the way for a more economically viable and environmentally friendly energy landscape. As we collectively seek innovative solutions for a cleaner planet, these initiatives stand as beacons of progress. 🌿 Key Insights into Global Initiatives Explore initiatives like the "Accelerating Clean Hydrogen Initiative" from the World Economic Forum, driving the transformation of the hydrogen landscape. Today, global hydrogen production stands at 94Mt, emitting around 900Mt CO2. To achieve net-zero by 2030, estimates suggest we need 200Mt of clean hydrogen, necessitating a two-fold scale-up and a shift away from grey hydrogen. 🌍 Global Collaborations for Change The initiative boasts over 200 members from 60 organizations, uniting public and private stakeholders dedicated to fast-tracking the development of the clean hydrogen economy.
