“How to make your days more productive” https://ow.ly/Ro6l50SqtrT “Here is a task that everyone has to accomplish: Keeping up on emails. There is a way to do it thoughtfully and a way to do it haphazardly that is totally inefficient. “Think of it like laundry,” says Martin, who has been able to maintain ‘Inbox Zero’ despite her high-powered job. “You wouldn’t open your dryer 20 times a day, fold one shirt, put it away, and then keep coming back to it all day long to do the same thing. But that’s the way people are handling email.” Instead, set aside specific times of day where you can put all those emails into different buckets, like ones to read, or review or respond.” #BusinessOfEngineering #Productivity #TimeBlocking

Batching Do you feel like you’re constantly switching between tasks and losing focus? Let me introduce you to batching—a simple yet powerful productivity hack! Batching = Grouping Similar Tasks Together 🛒 When you go shopping, you don’t just buy fruit, right? You aim to get everything you need for the week. ✍️ The same applies to tasks—batching helps you stay focused, reduce task-switching, and save mental energy. Here are some examples of how batching works: 📧 Emails: Process emails twice a day (or even less) instead of checking them constantly. ✍️ Admin Tasks: Dedicate a set block of time to complete small tasks like invoicing, filing, or organizing files. 🏦 Errands: Combine grocery shopping and bank visits into one trip. Why does it work? 👉 Batching minimizes distractions and helps you maximize productivity. 💡 What’s one task you can batch today? Feel free to share in the comments!
