Celebrating a win this morning. Took a lot of time and effort but pulled in a new client last week. This customer was very reluctant. They didn't want to talk, never had time, push back after push back, when we had a meeting scheduled they canceled last minute. Put a lot of miles on the truck but we finally arranged our first shipment (loading halfway around the world). Sell all of your services. Even if you are not well versed, you still need to offer. In the event (as in this case), you are not able to fully execute the request, bring in others from your company to do what they do best. GET OUT OF THE WAY! Be humble. At the end of the day, as a company, we're all on the same team. We did it. We made it happen, together. Cheers Logistics Plus! How are we celebrating you may ask? By picking up the phone and calling another prospect. The grind never stops. The cheetah must eat, and the gazelles are running faster and faster everyday. Be the cheetah!

I heard something the other day and before today I would never have given it a second though. The question was asked, “what is the worste thing you ever did.” The response shook me. “I became important. I did such a good quality job that I became important.” All my career to date all I wanted was to make a difference. Do such a good job that the company would appreciate and when it came time for promotion etc it would be without question. To instill the trust that I can get the job done. To me this was the conerstone of who I was. Work with everyone, help everyone, see everyone as your customer and remember the customer is always right. Then it happened. I was seen. I became trusted and now important to what I do and some days I don’t know what to do with that. Some days I sit here thinking how do I do it now. How do I get this done on time and under budget. Trust in my colleagues, trust my team. That is how you do it. Ask the hard question. Talk to them, be clear on your needs and timelines and then trust them to do what they do
