Women's Commercial Finance Forum (WCFF)’s Post

It is our pleasure to welcome Sonja Pfitz to our Board as Executive Director of Pedagogy and Advocacy. Sonja is a seasoned professional in the Commercial Finance and business advisory sectors. Sonja brings close to 30 years of experience to the role and has a comprehensive depth of experience in sales, compliance, operational and risk management through working with SME’s, from start-ups to publicly listed companies, in a range of industries. Throughout her career, Sonja has established several successful businesses, held executive and board positions in the financial services and private corporate sector, and managed large teams of people. Her passion for assisting SMEs has enabled her to work with a diverse range of companies and industries, providing sound advice and strategic support for growth and expansion. Sonja's previous experience includes working as a Senior Executive for three large financial organisations (private and public).  She played an instrumental role in the development of each of these organisations from their foundation stage to that of a large company, and was involved in the sale of one of these businesses to Bendigo & Adelaide bank. In addition to her extensive experience in finance, Sonja has also worked in the Information Technology sector, where she developed large-scale networks and re-engineered software applications for the Australian finance, transport, and public sectors. Sonja brings a wealth of experience and a strong voice to the WCFF. She is an advocate for the community and drives best practice in the industry. She will provide structure to our professional development, expand our resources and oversee our coaching programs. Although women in commercial finance are outnumbered in the industry, we are trailblazing a path for women in finance. Sonja recognises this and will champion an ethical and equitable evolution of the financial services industry. We are thrilled to have Sonja on board and look forward to the invaluable contributions she will make to our organisation and our industry. Warm regards Yasmine Shah Founder & Executive Director Women's Commercial Finance Forum #commercialfinance #brokers #accountants #womeninbusiness
