In a field that has been historically dominated by men, 48forty Solutions and Relogistics Services took time out to give the Pallet Women of North America a tour of our #Atlanta Plant last week. We pride ourselves in #equality and I know for a fact that we have quite a few female onsite managers, Directors, and VPs that are paving the way for the future. As a father that has a daughter that will enter the workforce in a few years, it is nice to see businesses changing with the times and opening more doors up for all sexes. #Procurement #Logistics #SupplyChain #Sustainability #Tuesday #Pallets #PalletManagement
🌟 We’re proud to celebrate our team members who represented 48forty as part of Pallet Women of North America (PWoNA) at the Women in Supply Chain Forum in Atlanta this week! 🌟 Kristy Harvey, Plant Manager of Site 592 in Irving, TX, Kari Hodgetts, MBA , Plant Manager of Site 315 in Lockport and Chicago, IL, joined industry leaders and engaged in valuable discussions at the event. Let's make today unforgettable! Design offers that do more than celebrate – rather they inspire, empower, and connect. It's about turning special deals for women into real, meaningful interactions. From spotlighting achievements to fostering supportive communities and women-led teams, be all about creating a meaningful impact. If you run a restaurant or a business that resonates with celebrating moments, do it not just with standard deals, but establish a space with delightful offers to fuel meaningful connections that last beyond today. #AToastToWomen #ExperientialMarketing #EmpowermentMatters #InternationalWomensDay #BuildConnections #WomensDayOffers #TipsForSuccess #RestaurantMarketing #TangyTechMedia

Is It Me? Series Breaks Ground: Uniting Women of Color to Tackle Workplace Challenges and Empower Career Growth The Is It Me? Series is an annual conference hosted by My Sister's Keeper. It focuses on MSK's pillar relative to supporting women in their professional development and success. Launched in 2023, the Is It Me? Series is already recognized as a one-of-a-kind safe space for women to validate their lived experiences, demystify the workplace, and acquire the tools to better navigate their professional journeys. The first installment took place July 29, 2023, at InnerSense + Soul - a Black female-owned boutique in Mableton, GA. "It was important for us to partner with as many women of color as possible for the inaugural event. We were so lucky to find Sam Welton and her incredible boutique! Everything about her mission was aligned with MSK - it was kismet!" boasts Trice Stevenson-Wright, MSK's CEO & Founder. The venue itself was impeccably outfitted with art and imagery celebrating and empowering women. Food, drinks, and entertainment were also sourced from Black female-owned businesses and featured: Divine Drinks - IG @div.inedrinks P.S., It's Good! Boutique Catering - IG @psitsgoodatl Chic Charcuterie - IG @chic_charcuterieatl DJ Queen Entertainment Group - IG @djqueenent The evening was graced by a panel of four successful female professionals from various industries, led by MSK's CEO, Trice Stevenson-Wright. Each panelist presented a story of a challenge she faced during her professional journey and what she learned from it. There was incredibly engaging and candid discussion about what was really occurring in those situations, with an emphasis on understanding others' motivations in the workplace and how we as women of color can better recognize what's happening and navigate the scenarios. All the panelists came from very different industries; yet, each of their individual experiences resonated with the audience. MSK's CEO explains: "We were adamant on creating an environment where women felt safe to express both their frustrations and their triumphs. What we found was that many related to the stories being shared and had similar stories of their own. With frequent instances of 'that happened to me, too!' ... the validation alone produced a sense of healing. It was empowering to be able to have a no-B.S. conversation about our shared experiences and how to turn certain challenges into advantages. These ladies left the event with renewed confidence, as well as new friends, mentors, and allies who continue to offer guidance and support in their professional journeys - that was the goal." This event was more than just a gathering; it was a catalyst for ongoing dialogue and action that will undoubtedly continue to inspire and empower women in their professional endeavors.

Today is International Women’s Day 2024 - #InspireInclusion. We need to do much more to drive parity, equity, and inclusivity. So. Much. More. For as much progress as has been made, we still have a long, long way to go before this conversation is a celebration. No one person can change the world, but the world will not change if we do not each drive change. With that in mind, I want to recognize and appreciate just a few of the powerful women I know who tirelessly advocate, inspire, and champion for positive action. No, we’re not there yet, but when has that stopped any of us before? So, a big shout out to a few leading lights in my ecosystem who #InspireInclusion: Teresa YoKell Joy Taylor Sondra Leibner Angela Nalwa Jennifer Morelli Sarah Balabanov, PMP, CSCP Caroline Tan Mary Fredendall Maren Sonne Supriya Nair Shannon Cunningham Liza Rothhammer TaMiya Dickerson Andrée Bourgon Lori Davis Gayle Brim Nancy Matchey Lyndsi Lee Amanda Batchelet Jorie Fox Sara Curtis Cassidy Larson Rachel Hare Emily Zucker Ashley Thompson and more! Also, an extra YASS to: - the many drivers of Women in Supply Chain cohorts across industry that have sprung up and are flourishing in the past five years - Sarah Barnes-Humphrey, Sarah Balabanov, PMP, CSCP, Christine Barnhart, CPIM, PMP and others - I see you, let's keep going - and - the additional industry luminaries and business leaders who I have crossed paths with at some point in my career who show the way every day, such Lora Cecere, Amber Salley, Raquel Soares, Andrea Atwell, Angela Korompilas, Katy Vu, Cecilia Chao, Bindiya Vakil, Marie Borges, Karyn Beisheim McKenna, Annie Agle, Kathryn Caggiano, Kathy Kelley, Ngoc Phan, and others.

This #internationalwomensday we are excited to continue celebrating the incredible women in our team who are not just part of the industry but are actively reshaping it. Today, we're thrilled to introduce Nikki, a valued member of our team who brings a unique perspective and an inspiring journey to the butchery field. Time at Super Butcher: 2 Years Favourite Brand Of Beef: Pure Black Nikki's journey into the meat industry might surprise you. Initially dreaming of working in a morgue for its meticulous and detailed nature, she found a parallel in butchery, recalling her positive childhood experiences at Super Butcher. Nikki's transition into the meat industry was driven by a desire for a significant environment change, where precision, care, and a strong team culture thrive. Advice for Women Entering Male-Dominated Fields: Nikki emphasizes the importance of keeping an open mind. "It's easy to enter a male-dominated field with your back up, ready to prove yourself. However, finding a supportive environment like Super Butcher, where there's a strong focus on team support and culture, is key. Approach your role with no expectations and positive intentions, and you'll set yourself up for success." Vision for Women in the Meat Industry: Looking ahead, Nikki is optimistic about the future for women in butchery. She hopes to see an increase in female apprentices, noting that advancements in technology and evolving roles within the industry remove any barriers to entry. Nikki believes the industry's shift towards more detailed presentation, innovative ideas, and convenience aligns well with the strengths women bring to the table. "There's a lot more detail involved now, and I think that's something women can definitely excel in," she says. Nikki's story is a testament to the evolving landscape of the butchery industry, where diversity and innovation lead the way. She stands as a beacon for aspiring women butchers, proving that with an open mind and a supportive environment, there's no limit to what can be achieved. Join us in celebrating Nikki and the many women like her who are carving out their space in the meat industry. Here's to more diversity, innovation, and excellence in butchery! #internationalwomensday #CountHerIn

For me, International Women’s Day was not only about celebrating the strength, resilience, and creativity of women. All of my colleagues, regardless of their background or identity, bring unique perspectives and talents to the table. At BayWa r.e. Global, our commitment to #InspireInclusion underlines the importance of treating everyone with respect and recognising their valuable contributions, both in business and all other aspects of life. And that is also why I see this day as an opportunity to recognise diversity and promote equality. We must foster a sense of belonging and support for groups who face discrimination or exclusion. Raising awareness about gender inequality, systemic discrimination, and social injustice is key if we not only want to advocate for change, but also make it a reality. This is how we build an inclusive world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and contribute! https://lnkd.in/dx9FnXHH #inclusion #equality #energysolutions

She further shares, “Inclusion is about embracing diversity and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and heard.” For, Adolpho, Head of Technical Operation (Wind) at BayWa r.e., the key to building a strong team is diversity, which enables members to bring in different skill sets and build trust.
