Innovative capabilities and the ability to successfully implement change, are critical to the success of an invididual, a company and a nation. Here's an interesting KPI that most people rarely measure. How quickly do we adapt to change? My insight from leading change over 35 years, those who successfully transform the quickest will always have the advantage. This is why I, like so many other quality practitioners, believe in #kaizen and #continuousimprovement. We enjoy seeing individuals and companies #GROW!

In our June session we will be considering 'Would we pass an MOT test?' For most of us as car owners, taking our vehicle for the dreaded MOT can be quite daunting. However, this essential check is there to ensure our safety and roadworthiness, protecting us from potential breakdown and in a nutshell, saving our lives. Often we fail to pause, reflect and check our own personal 'roadworthiness'. These Keys4Success sessions provide an ideal place where attendees can stop for a moment, consider our current position https://lnkd.in/emSjmrmf

When improving performance it's important to ensure you have the right structures in place to give clarity, the right skill sets to ensure accuracy, and the right mindset to ensure intensity. All these areas also need to be combined with ongoing refection, learning and application to drive performance improvement. It's clear to see in recent F1 races how important the Pit Stop is to winning races. It's also clear to see in the video how much focus is put on improving the speed to change the tyres and get the driver back on the track as quickly as possible. Over the years the rules have changed, as has the technology and the cars. What hasn't changed is the importance of teamwork and having the structures, ways of working, skillsets and right mindsets to perform consistently at a high level whilst under huge pressure. To accelerate learning and breakthoughs we utilise the Pit Stop Challenge when developing leaders and teams. We have a full size replica car that we use to immerse leaders and teams in exploring the importance of marginal gains, teamwork and practice... and relating it to their world. The results are phenomenal... and it's memorable and fun! Practicing is one of the tools many teams in organisations don't use enough. In my military days it was key to achieving high performance. If you want to explore how to improve performance in your leaders and teams, then feel free to message me. https://lnkd.in/dzd_UuKa

A feedback advantage: - Improved performance . >> Before: Imagine your performance is like an old car. It sputters, runs inefficiently, and may even break down. >> After: With improvement, your performance becomes a well-tuned sports car. It runs smoothly, efficiently, and reaches its full potential. ✍️ by Board@ASSISTREND

When I taught Organizational Behavior to business students, each semester ended with students analyzing a major organizational event or a prominent leader using #organizationalbehavior concepts. 💡 Seeing reports like this in the news reminds me of how much I enjoyed that end-of-semester project. ✨ I would have loved to see the students’ analysis of this case! ✈️ #decisionmaking #culture #incentives #leadership

👥 Let's talk about building a healthy team culture! 🚧Is failure avoidable? I would submit it is inevitable... How we approach these failures culturally as a team can either drive motivation for continuous improvement or create a continuous fear of failure with little to no improvement. My sister shared with me this amazing article illustrating this very point about "Just Culture" and why the U.S leads the world in airline safety. ✈️ When failure happens, having the courage to focus on the "WHY" vs. the "WHO" can make all the difference in the world for a team's success! 🌎 Please read this article and share your thoughts! When Australia Post started their journey with DEKRA, they were experiencing large numbers of frontline operator injuries. In addition to the obvious transport and logistics exposures associated with van and trucking operations, approximately 5,000 delivery officers use motorbikes to deliver letters and small parcels around the country. Read our case study to see how DEKRA helped them achieve a dramatic reduction in injuries through #leadership development and coaching. #Transportation #LeadershipMatters #Improvement https://brnw.ch/21wIJFY
