🚦 A lot of challenges to deploy commercial automated mobility but not all are related to the driving. Solving the global economic equation will be crucial. During the last week or so, the need of connected infrastructure raised a lot of attention. 🔮 Do you think AVs will have to rely on some kind of infrastructure to deploy commercial services ? Or will connected infrastructure be only used in some rare edges cases ? To clarify the context, I like to divide “road-side” connected infra into 2 categories : 1️⃣ : Safe information providers They are playing a role in the safety concept They help the vehicle to drive faster in an intersection (because they’re sure nothing’s coming) 2️⃣ : Additional information providers They are playing a role to improve quality of service They advise the vehicle to slow down in anticipation (because there might be someone coming), resulting in lower occurence of emergency stops. 🎙 I’d love to hear your thoughts on that Xavier Toujas, Pauline Dalicier,Pierre Delaigue, Cédric Seureau and others !
