👵 Older folks do not utilize technology for healthcare! Wrong. Think again! Rock Health's latest survey compares digital tool adoption between those aged 65 and above versus those in the 18-65 age bracket. Contrary to stereotypes, the older demographic is showing remarkable engagement with digital health technologies. 👍 Not surprisingly, utilization of wearables and data collection remains low in this age group, as well as use of digital tools for seeking healthcare (they probably already have a doctor they trust!). Astonishingly however, 70% of respondents aged 65 and above reported engaging with virtual care, and 67% have actively searched for health information online. 📶 These statistics resonate strongly with our platform's mission and usage within this demographic. It's clear that older individuals are actively embracing digital health solutions. 💻 And while there will always be those who aren't as comfortable with technology (no matter their age), we should be careful not to deprive others of effective solutions that help them participate successfully. After all, the goal of clinical research isn't to find the lowest common denominator set of tools, it's to pursue great science.🔬 #DigitalHealth #ClinicalResearch #RockHealthSurvey #HealthTech #Innovation

Are you really listening to your users? As digital health evolves, we often talk about optimising engagement—but are we focusing on what truly matters? Traditionally, statistics have been the go-to for insights 👑. But while they offer useful information, they don’t always tell the full story of the real people behind the data. Take two NHS clinicians I spoke with last week. Both work in the same role, at the same hospital. Based on their demographics and location, you'd expect them to share similar views. Yet, when it comes to AI in healthcare, their opinions couldn’t be more different. - One believes AI will transform healthcare, improving patient outcomes and reducing inefficiencies. 🤖🏥 - The other worries that AI introduces data risks and can’t be trusted just yet. 🛑 So, what’s the takeaway? It's not demographics that drive behaviour, but perception and personal experience. 💭 As AI and other innovations become further integrated into healthcare, it’s vital to understand the unique perspectives of clinicians, stakeholders, and staff. This is where a human-centred design approach makes all the difference. It’s about engaging with everyone involved, understanding their views, and creating solutions that work for all. Are you engaging with your users and stakeholders enough to design solutions that truly meet their needs? Let’s create digital solutions that are designed with everyone in mind. #DigitalHealth #HealthTech #AIinHealthcare #HumanCentredDesign #ServiceDesign
