Good Morning! Thursday, April 4, 2024 "Gentleness as a Witness" Philippians 4:5 is a gentle yet powerful reminder: "Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near." In this simple exhortation, Paul encapsulates a profound principle of Christian living. Our interactions with others, marked by gentleness, become a testament to our faith and the nearness of God in our lives. Gentleness, often underrated in a world that prizes strength and assertiveness, is a fruit of the Spirit that reflects the character of Christ Himself. It's not about weakness but about the strength under control, the power to respond with love and patience in the face of provocation or misunderstanding. This verse calls us to be ambassadors of Christ's peace in every situation, to approach conflicts, disagreements, and even daily interactions with a spirit of gentleness. It's about showing the same patience and compassion that Christ shows us, extending grace even when it's not deserved. Living out this call to gentleness is especially challenging in today's polarized and tense environment. Yet, it's precisely in such times that our gentleness can shine the brightest, offering a glimpse of God's love and drawing others to Him. It serves as a reminder that our ultimate allegiance is to a kingdom not of this world, governed by the laws of love and grace. Moreover, the assurance that "The Lord is near" provides both the motivation and the means to live out this gentleness. It reminds us that we are never alone in our efforts to reflect Christ's love, and it is His presence that empowers us to exhibit gentleness in the face of adversity. Thought-provoking question: In what practical ways can I demonstrate gentleness in my interactions today, as a reflection of God’s nearness and love? #MorningManna #dailyinspiration #dailydevotion #TreasureAndTruth

Synopsis of Tonight’s Group on The Evergetinos: Humility and affliction: Two words that often evoke within us intense fear and anxiety. We are formed by a kind of pathological self-love. The fathers understood that our focus upon worldly things as a need to create a sense of security and identity. We desperately want to protect ourselves from hardship and from pain and so we surround ourselves as much as we can to distract ourselves from the reality of death or the presence of suffering in our lives and in the world. It is not only external realities the drive us to this, but also vainglory. In some sense our desperate need to protect our dignity and self-esteem can be greater than our bodily desires. We will fight desperately to keep ourselves from the experience of humiliation or to hold on to a position of emotional power in relationships. However, in all these things, we sacrifice true freedom, joy, and peace. For when we embrace our identity in Christ as sons and daughters of God, when we let go of our attachment to the things of this world, then we begin to experience a kind of invincible freedom and joy. He who belongs to Christ has all; and whatever he loses within this world for the sake of Christ will be returned a hundredfold. What the fathers are trying to teach us is that while we suffer within this world we never suffer alone or in isolation. Our communion with Christ means that he is always present to us and that the crosses we bear only draw closer to him. The love of the kingdom is cruciform. Thus, to allow ourselves to be broken and poured out is to manifest that love in its perfection.

Unveiling Your Unhindered Value in Christ: Day 3 - Identity in Christ Welcome to Day 3 of our Unhindered Faith Series! Growing up I changed by style so many times. It was based on friends, culture, and, honestly, just wanting to fit it. However, the greatest change I ever made was finding my Identity in Christ. It was the day I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. Today, we explore the transformative power of our identity in Christ. Our guiding scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" Imagine a caterpillar that spends its days crawling on the ground, feeling vulnerable and limited. One day, it forms a cocoon around itself. Inside, an incredible transformation takes place. When it finally emerges, it is no longer a caterpillar but a beautiful butterfly, free to soar high above the ground it once crawled on. Like the caterpillar, we undergo a profound transformation when we accept Christ. Our old self, with its limitations and flaws, is gone. In Christ, we become new creations, endowed with a new identity and purpose. We are no longer defined by our past mistakes or earthly struggles; we are defined by the love and grace of Christ. Reflecting on 2 Corinthians 5:17, let’s embrace our new identity in Christ. Let go of the past and step into the new life He offers. Your worth is found in Him, and His transformation in you is powerful and complete. Let’s start a conversation! Share in the comments: How has understanding your new identity in Christ changed the way you view yourself and your life’s purpose? #UnhinderedFaith #IdentityInChrist #2Corinthians517 #NewCreation #FaithJourney #DailyDevotion #TransformedInChrist #NewLife #ChristCentered --- We want to hear from you! Share your experiences and encourage others with how your identity in Christ has transformed your life. 💬✨

Christians Work Together: Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace [each individual working together to make the whole successful]. Ephesians 4:3 1 Corinthians 3:8-11 says, the one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. Think About Your Teammates. The Father is glorified when we treat and see each other as Christian Brothers and Sisters as members of His glorious Family. Teamwork Makes The Dream Work. Be willing to work together as a Team! If Christians aren’t willing to work together in harmony with each other, how can they expect to work together in harmony with God? For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 We must be willing to work together with one harmonious purpose! Philippians 2:2 says that we should be like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. In addition to that, Galatians 6:10 says so then, while we [as individual believers] have the opportunity, let us do good to all people [not only being helpful, but also doing that which promotes their spiritual well-being], and especially [be a blessing] to those of the household of faith (born-again believers). Determine To Hold The Purposes of God in your heart. Read 1 Corinthians 2:16, Ephesians 4:1-16, 1 Corinthians 12: 1-31 & Philippians 2:-2-5 Prepare to join us as we learn more about our Destiny and Position in Christ on Awaken To Sonship - 2 am With God, and together let’s wait for Him to Perform His Word. The Body of Christ Ephesians 4:16 says, “He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” If you are a Christian, then you are part of the body of Christ. Each part of that body has a different function just like every part of your own body has a function and serves a great purpose. Christ is the head of that body and holds the entire thing together. Just like this verse says, the body of Christ fits together perfectly. Think about that for a minute. God created a perfect puzzle to fit together. Are there people in the body of Christ that you do not get along with, or perhaps do not like? According to this verse, they have a purpose, and they fit together perfectly with you and the rest of the body. As Christians, we should want to strengthen all parts of the body. If there’s a part that maybe isn’t as strong, then we should want to encourage and support that part of the body. Just like if you hurt your arm or another part of your body, you would need help to strengthen it back to where it was before, maybe through physical therapy, or another means. If a part of the body of Christ is struggling, then it is our job to strengthen and encourage that person. Think about this the next time you get in an argument with someone, or get mad at someone who knows the Lord. Spend some time today, in prayer, asking God to help you love all members of the body and thanking him for Christ, the head of the body.

If you are going to focus your mind on Christ you must do two things: 1) Know you cannot do this alone 2) Have those who are discipling you in following Christ How do I find a person to disciple me? One word: READ You can start here: I recently read two books by AW Tozer. He keeps his discussions brief and focuses each chapter on Christ. I have found the two recent books I read insightful and to the point. "Every man holds his future in his hand. Not the dominant world leader only, but the inarticulate man lost in anonymity is a "man of destiny." He decides which way his soul shall go. He chooses, and destiny waits on the nod of his head. He decides, and hell enlarges herself, or heaven prepares another mansion." from 'The Second Coming of Christ.' By AW Tozer "It is simply not enough to know about God. We must know God in increasing levels of intimacy that lift us above all reason and into adoration and praise and worship." from 'Delighting In God' by AW Tozer. ----------------- Hi, I'm Mason. I help dads and husbands, who desire to serve Christ, to overcome their fears and get to action. I make it my job to be your thought partner who helps you know you are on track.
