China clearly anticipated a Trump victory and predicted it to mean a global power vacuum ahead after the 11/5 US elections... So on 11/4, the very day before the US elections, China's Renmin University established a brand new "School of Global Leadership". This will be China's first school of global leadership. It's a significant harbinger because among Chinese universities, Renmin Uni is often nick-named the ruling party CCP's "favorite son", because it was directly founded by the communist party going way back to 1937, so it enjoys an virtually unmatched relations with and political license from the party. And why create this school now? Renmin Uni's party secretary doesn't mince his words. He says the new school's purpose is to "meet the needs of the times and the needs of the world", by "contributing more Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the globe's modernization effort". OK, even if after the election Pax Americana might be heading towards the ICU, but this timing? Come on, can China BE more insensitive? #ItsNotEvenColdYet #TooSoonMan.

Thanks, Wen-Ti Sung. Set up a center in a day, to ensure Beijing not the US leads the globe. Imagine what the Chinese Communist Party could do in a week.

The world order is indeed changing and we all hope China has more to offer than mass surveillance, disappearing persons and legalized slavery.

I would remind everyone Main Street & the youth of China do not necessarily reflect the government. I’ve conducted business in China for 20+ yrs. I have found main street to be very similar to my business breathern in the US. Predominantly good, hardworking individuals that want to do good by their community. in my opinion tariffs are coming & going continue decoupling our economies. which are decisions for our government to make & which I will support. but I feel its important to remember the other side are human beings like us. Similar to what I’m wanting to remind us after our election cycle.

This would also be a big step in China's global diplomatic presence and influence ambitions, I think .. especially to shape the global south in its image and to exert leverage by fostering deep global ties. Whatever my criticism of China - and concerns about the CCP - Xi's China has definitely started learning a lot from the past of Western powers and using it effectively to its advantage.

They can be insensitive as they want, because no one is going to do anything about it. Pax Americana isn’t in ICU it’s in the hearse. Israel is unshackled and if the floated UKR ‘peace plan’ is only a quarter serious, the largest military in the world is meaningless under this strategic incompetence.

Was that statement made in concert with China’s active election interference efforts? If so, perhaps the West should take the back seat? Wasn’t that the intention?

Ah the champions of Big Government and Democracy having a hissy fit about the power of Big Government after they lose a Democratic election. The man whose administration both negotiated the Abraham accords and kept no new wars breaking out is their bete noir. Tells you about the party of eternal war.
