Growing online revenue for cannabis & hemp brands with SEO. Posts about the process.

How to write HIGH-QUALITY blog posts for your cannabis/hemp brand that help you make more money (I nearly exceeded the character limit here): 1. Perform a SERP analysis Search engine result page (SERP) analysis is the process of reverse-engineering what’s already ranking for a given keyword/topic so you know what you need to include in your article for it to rank. You'll want to make note of a few main things: → Searches that Google autocompletes after your keyword → Ttles of the top 5 ranking articles → Topics in the H2/H3 tags of top 5 ranking articles → Questions in the people also ask box (hint: ChatGPT with the Link Reader extension is very helpful here) 2. Write your headline & build your outline Your headline should include your main keyword and focus on the 1-2 top intents people have when searching that keyword. Your outline should also be based on the SERP analysis; include all topics that occur in the majority of the top 5 articles. Once you have a basic skeleton outline, improve it by adding subtopics you determine are important based on your unique expertise. Aim to make your outline more comprehensive and logical than the outlines of the current top-ranking articles. 3. Research the article Fill in our outline with all the information needed to write your draft. I recommend pulling from five main sources, in this order: → Subject matter experts (maybe you're one!) → Scientific journals → Your other content → Forums and social media platforms → Other people's blog posts IMPORTANT: ensure your article includes insights that others don't. Google tends to reward articles that add to the conversation. 4. Write first draft This is largely self-explanatory. That being said, a quick tip: Put the Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF): Answer the reader's question in the introduction. This helps with user experience AND ranking. 5. Edit A few tips here: → Avoid introducing each section → Leave plenty of eye relief (break up text) → Make headings (H2/H3) highly descriptive → Avoid mixing up bullet points and numbered lists 6. Embellish If you have them or have the means to create them, take your article to the next level by adding images, graphics, and videos. 7. Publish Before you hit publish on your article, be sure to do the following: → Add links from your article to related money pages → Write your SEO title & meta description → Write your URL slug (it should be your keyword) → Add your article to the appropriate categories And after you publish your article, you'll want to do the following: → Add links to your new article from relevant existing articles → Submit your new article to Google Search Console for faster indexing - There you have it: an A-Z guide to writing banger cannabis/hemp blog content that helps your category and product pages rank, drives traffic and email signups, and builds goodwill with potential customers.
