Andrea Calabrò, Thomas Clauß, Alfredo Valentino, Luis Diaz-Matajira and I have a new paper. Using an international survey-based dataset of family and non-family firms, we investigate the effects of pivoting strategy adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic on employment change in both family and non-family firms. We also show that while transparent leadership communication positively moderates the effect of pivoting on employment change in non-family firms, it shows an opposite effect in family firms.
