90% of Tech Professionals Can Ace FAANG & MAANG Applications The Other 10%? They Haven't Mastered Their Resume Yet. ✅ Do’s: • Highlight Achievements: Use metrics (e.g., “Improved system performance by 30%”). • Use Keywords: Tailor to the job (e.g., "machine learning," "cloud computing"). • Showcase Skills: Include languages/tools relevant to the role (e.g., Python, React). • Include Projects: Highlight impact ("Built app using React; 100K+ users"). • Use Action Verbs: "Developed," "Optimized," "Led." • Focus on Impact: "Increased sales by 20%." • Clean Layout: Simple format, clear sections. ❌ Don’ts: • No Generic Objectives: Use a tailored summary. • No Irrelevant Experience: Highlight tech-related roles only. • Avoid Jargon: Keep it understandable for non-technical recruiters. • Don’t Lie: Be honest; discrepancies are easy to spot. #FAANG #JobSearch #RecruitmentChallenges #CareerGrowth Hey everyone! So, I recently had a facepalm moment with a FAANG recruiter that’s got me second-guessing my entire career direction. 😅 Let me share my thoughts! I’ve got a solid background in statistics and programming, with a PhD and over five years of experience in data science. Last year, I interned at a FAANG company but didn’t get a return offer due to all the layoffs. At the time, I was bummed, but looking back, my experience felt mediocre — there was just too much office politics, and I wasn’t thrilled with my project. Yet, after a few months, I thought, “Why not try my luck again?” So, I reached out, and my former manager was kind enough to refer me. Then came the recruiter call, which was a total rollercoaster ride! 🎢 Here are a few pain points that stood out: Unprepared Recruiter: The recruiter hadn’t done their homework. They didn’t even know I had previously interned there, which made for an awkward chat. No Clarit... Is a FAANG Recruiter's Disinterest Driving You Toward Startups? 🚀 Startups vs MAANG: How do their tech interviews differ? 🤔 As a fresher preparing for interviews, understanding the key differences between startup and MAANG (or similar big tech) interview processes can be a game-changer! 💡 Here’s what our instructor, Sunyul Hossen (Ex-Software Engineer at Goldman Sachs & Adobe), shared: 🌟 MAANG Interviews: Generalist-focused, even for domain-specific roles. Example: For a Full Stack Web Development team, they might ask basic project-related questions but won’t dive deep into MERN, Java Spring, or Python Django. 🚀 Startup Interviews: All about specifics, even in the first round! Example: If the role is for MERN, expect in-depth technical questions about the stack right from the start. 💡 Knowing this difference helps you target your preparation more effectively. 🎥 Catch the full discussion on our YouTube channel—link in the comments! Have you experienced this difference in interviews? Which style do you prefer? Share your thoughts below! 👇 #InterviewCall #TechInterviews #StartupsVsMAANG #FreshersGuide #CareerTips #JobPreparation
