Here they are👇 I attended the commerce roundtable event by Sendlane this week, and it was a very cool event, fueled by people doing amazing things and pushing the industry forward. Here are a couple of key takeaways from the event: - D2C founders and brands are super hands-on, and it's fascinating to see. You can feel the drive to break barriers and find new customers/markets. - The creator economy will increase dramatically, and the line between corporate, solopreneurs, and creators will become increasingly blurred. -Companies like Opensend, Supliful, FERMÀT, Sendlane, Because🌈, to name a few, are enabling D2C brands and founders to tackle major challenges such as retention, engagement, improving the bottom line, identifying digital shoppers. - So many cool stories and people all around. Our team at Reebelo did an incredible job building relationships with our US business partners at the #ITAD Summit in Miami connecting with 1300+ attendees and holding 20+ meetings over 2 days. Here’s what we learned when we reviewed the event & feedback internally: 👥 People and relationships matter: Besides being a tech marketplace, we work closely together with our key vendors on a daily basis. We are only a call away at any point in time and listen to every vendor's input on where we can further improve - independent of the size of the vendor. The majority of our business decisions are driven by our Vendors' input already, which won't change in future. 💡 Innovation is welcomed: Special thanks to multiple vendors who mentioned that they love our partnership approach and the fact that we’re disrupting the refurbished space. Several of our improvements that we brought to the US via our own website helped to push the whole industry in the right direction. And we’re only just getting started—exciting projects are on the way! 🤳 New partnership innovations coming soon: Our new channel partners are excited to test new ideas, such as instant trade-in deductions at checkout or merging “live” social videos with refurbished goods. More to come about these new partnerships in the upcoming months. 👀 🔥 Favorite quote of the show from a new vendor: “Some of your bigger competitors kept telling me not to worry about you, they said it so many times they are clearly worried about you. Lately, I've been thinking about community and what that means for marketers and professionals. I think it comes down to: 👉 a place to belong 👉 a voice that matters 👉 a sounding board for questions, topics, referrals, SOS signal... 👉 your next role, gig or company 👉 a hand to guide, help and challenge you -- am I missing anything else?? 😁 Personally, I witnessed this first hand when I attended our CommerceNext Growth Show in NYC last week. Admittedly, this was my first Growth Show with CommerceNext. What impressed me was the sense of connectedness from coast-to-coast and the depth and breadth of topics. I met so many people where we could nerd out on #retail trends, #technology, new brands and global retailers, ongoing (acquisition) issues, improving the customer journey and what inspires us at what we do. (I am still stoked from the feedback from the #CFO and #CMO keynote session with Tapestry, UNIQLO and Brooklinen, and can't wait to recap on that.) I think what distinguishes CommerceNext from other communities is the quality of relationships across solution providers and retailers. This is is largely due to the leadership and culture that co-founders Scott Silverman, Veronika Sonsev and Allan have built over the past years: authentic, actionable and knowledgeable folks that are eager to share and create that community. So onward and forward. I'm eager to hear everyone's feedback from my friends and colleagues who attended the show. How could we improve? What do you want to see more of?
