Some quick thoughts on: Embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Challenging Times Recent headlines have spotlighted the trend of major companies scaling back their DEI teams, raising important questions about the future of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the corporate world. As the people leader at Sisense, I feel it’s crucial to articulate our stance on this vital issue. While some organizations may be reducing their DEI teams due to financial pressures or existing in-house expertise, we must remember that DEI is not a luxury, but the foundation of a thriving, innovative workplace. At Sisense, we firmly believe that DEI should be woven into the fabric of our company, and we are committed to ensuring it remains a core pillar of our mission. I’m proud to spotlight the remarkable work of Susanna Tharakan, our DEI leader, who oversees multiple functions with DEI being a central focus. Under her guidance, we have implemented several impactful initiatives: -Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Empowering our teams through dedicated, funded resource groups. -Brave Space Sessions: Facilitating open conversations on critical topics affecting women and underrepresented minorities. -Inclusive Leadership Training: Conducted last year for all global managers to enhance transparency and address gaps. -Metrics and Goals: Utilizing dashboards to track DEI progress and set departmental objectives. -Inclusive Job Descriptions: Revamping job descriptions by adding a diversity statement and ensuring inclusive language, reflecting our core value of inclusion. -Diversity Sourcing Platforms: Piloting innovative sourcing platforms and partnerships. -Diversity Hiring: Policies around diverse candidate slates for Director + proved successful, leading to revising policies to include all levels and key departments -Sisense Foundation: Supporting nonprofits aligned with our DEI vision by providing Sisense products. Thank you, Susanna, for your exceptional leadership and dedication. At Sisense, we remain committed to moving the needle on DEI. While global economies and company priorities may shift, our resolve to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion will only grow stronger. Together, let’s continue to champion these values and drive meaningful change! #DEI #Leadership #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #CompanyCulture #Sisense
