Sunday Reflections ☀️ Sundays have a unique rhythm, don’t they? A day to reset, plan, and recharge. It’s also a day to think about the "why" behind what I do. In the fast-paced world of sales and business development, getting caught up in targets, pitches, and KPIs is easy. But I’ve realized that the most fulfilling part of my work isn’t just closing deals—it’s the impact we create for our clients. From helping startups scale faster to enabling established companies to solve complex problems, every project has a story. And in every story, there’s a lesson. What’s one project or achievement you’re most proud of, and why? Wishing you all a productive and meaningful week ahead! 🚀✨ #SundayThoughts #BusinessDevelopment #SalesManagerLife #ReflectAndRecharge

I recently heard from someone that “10 years in a startup is like 30 in a traditional company”, and it’s spot on. 📍 In a startup, the pressure to perform is relentless. You’re not just pushing for growth; you’re doing it with the understanding that people’s livelihoods are on the line and that around 90% of start-ups won’t make it past a few years. One can grow to be C-suite-ready in just a handful of years, tackling challenges that cover strategy, execution, and constant pivots. 📈 This is why I’m here to support companies with a fractional sales leader model: giving them access to C-suite expertise at an affordable price, while also fostering a healthier balance and stronger, scalable results. 🤝 Ready to bring C-suite-level sales strategy to your team without the full-time costs? Send me a message today, as I have limited spaces opening each month! Let's start now and impact your Q4!🚀 #FractionalSales #humanisedsales #SalesMentoring #BusinessGrowth #WellBeingInBusiness

Last week I made $69,000 → Really? → Suddenly? → You got lucky? We go crazy when we see numbers! Easy to understand and no story needed. → A brilliant idea rocketing to the top. → A story about a crazy startup. → An overnight success. But this hides a crucial part of the journey. A good underdog story. Makes us believe anything is possible. The truth is, the path to success is not a straight shot. Learn how to build before focusing on results. The battles fought and lessons learned. The grit that brought us success. → When we desire results. → But don't understand the process. → We are quickly surprised and discouraged. You don't climb a mountain with only a photo of the summit. Let's shift the focus. Celebrate not just the achievements, but also the resilience. Study how successful companies overcame challenges. That is how we get a roadmap for our own journey. → Success comes not just from a great idea. → But from pushing through obstacles. → Be prepared, not just inspired. This is why we need to see the struggle behind success. Share your story. ✌🏼 #allboundmarketing ___ Was this helpful? Did you learn something? Are you glad you spent 2 minutes reading it? 🚨 Monday reminder: You don’t need to get everything done—you just need to get the most important thing done. I disappoint people every single day. This isn't a pity party invitation; it’s just reality at a startup. We have a laundry list of ideas we want to bring to life. But honestly, the list is endless, and our time, energy, and resources… are not. Here’s the goal: move the ball forward on what matters most. The big, high-impact things. The work with highest potential to move the revenue ball forward. Here's what I ask myself every morning: ➡️ What’s the ONE thing I can produce today that will have the biggest impact? ➡️ What's the ONE thing I can do today that eliminates a significant bottleneck for someone else? ➡️ Make peace with the list. Commit to impact. Momentum isn’t about tackling everything; it’s about tackling the right things. And that means someone’s always going to be disappointed—embrace it, own it, and keep moving 🔥 Image Credit: Tom Fishburne

Winging Effect: The Silent Business Growth Killer As I reflect on my experience working with revenue teams of startups, I've noticed a common trait among teams that struggle to meet their revenue goals. They're plagued by the habit of "winging" the sales process. What does it mean to "wing" the sales process? It means relying on intuition, guesswork, and untested assumptions to drive sales decisions. It's a recipe for disaster. On the other hand, teams that consistently meet and exceed revenue goals have a different approach. They document what works and what doesn't. They analyze their wins and losses, and use those insights to refine their sales strategy. As my mentor always says, "There's a method to the madness." By documenting and analyzing your sales process, you'll uncover the hidden patterns and insights that drive revenue growth. So, I'd love to hear from you: What's your approach to documenting and analyzing your big wins and major losses? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below! #salesstrategy #revenuegrowth #businessdevelopment #wingingeffect

Coming out of difficult and/or toxic client relationships is incredibly hard. But I know it makes me appreciate the people who we choose to work with. They're the ones who grow - not just in revenue, but in their team, in their culture, in their approach... They're the ones who help PassionBerry Marketing (and me) grow - appreciating what we have, understanding we share the same struggles, sharing in the wins, building things that we both feel proud about. 2023 was a learning experience with a wide range of new clients with different approaches, beliefs and experiences that did and didn't gel with how we work. And thats okay. I'm saying this because I have a new role I'll talk about later. In fact I have a few... And through finally getting better at the selection process. As much as the founders, CEOs, marketers, and your teams want people (and a marketing partner) they can trust... ...we want clients and people we can trust to work with to help us build something that works, and becomes special. Because otherwise we're just wasting our time, while you waste yours... You just have to find other people who #Believe in #BarbequeSauce 😎 Here's my offer: If you are a scaling startup, a business with true growth ambitions and the people to match, or you just want a sounding board... DM me. I'll help or I'll let you know the people who can. Much love and support to those in the arena building... #StartupsAust #Growth #Marketing #Passionberry #CMOforHire

You set high expectations of yourself. 🚀 And beat yourself up when it doesn’t work. 😞 Just because a few sales calls didn’t close. Or that month wasn’t as productive as the other. Startup founders, I see you. You’ve got a vision, and you’re working tirelessly to bring it to life. But the pressure you put on yourself is immense. You expect - Perfection - Immediate results - Unwavering success Failure isn’t the end—it’s feedback. Every setback is a setup for a comeback. Instead of beating yourself up, shift your mindset. - Often we need to slow down before we speed up. - Instead of do more, you reflect. - Reflect on what went on during a productive month. - Each mistake is a lesson in disguise. Use it to improve. - Your worth isn’t tied to your success. You’re valuable just as you are. - You’re not alone. Lean on your network for guidance. And I am the one who can guide you : To attract 3-5 premium clients /month organically. Would you like to know how ? Book a 30 minute strategy call with me. Comment “yes” and I’ll send it over. I often get the question: - "Where do you find all your customers?" I started out with 3 test cases for free (before even starting my business)- to get testimonials. To be honest - I wasn't even sure I was good at coaching.... Then my first paying customer called me and said they heard that I did a great job with my test cases. So then I coached 8 startups for their demo day where hundreds of investors and other accelerator programs participated. Fortunate for me the event went very well. My customer got lots of calls telling them about the great event, the fantastic startup pitches and was wondering who had helped them with their pitches. My customer was ecstatic over all the great positive feedback and was more than happy to share my contacts. Suddenly my customer was my best promoter. And I made sure to create value for them every single time. A relationship that lasted for 9 years!!!!! And gave me tons of referrals that created a ripple effect. So treat your customers well, deliver value, build trust and create a long lasting relationship. Let them be your greatest evangelists and success will come. —————— ♻️ Repost if you agree ❤️ find this helpful
