Winning the T20 World Cup was a moment of immense glory and joy. I wondered who deserved the credit for this achievement. Was it the mature innings played by Kohli? or the surprising attack by night watchman Axar? or Pandya’s crucial last spell? or the brilliant catch by SKY? or the excellent captaincy exhibited by our captain? I realized it was the remarkable character shown by the Indian team as a unit. But then I pondered who put this team together. We should also credit the teamwork of all the stakeholders working tirelessly behind the scenes. But hasn’t this structure been in place before? I remember the 90s when winning the World Cup felt like a distant dream. The recurring question was why a country with a population of 100 crores, passionate about cricket, couldn’t produce a world cup-winning team. I recall the heartbreak every time Sachin got out, feeling as if we lost the match at that moment. Then, in the next decade, the rise of the IPL pumped new life into the sport with the T20 format. It brought more opportunities for players. A whole new economy was built around cricket. Many talented youngsters started pursuing cricket as mainstream career, and ultimately it became a staging ground for team selection. As a fan, I am now accustomed to seeing different heroes rise on different occasions and contributing the wins, in various matches. This success is the result of sustained efforts by the entire cricket machinery in India over the last two decades. I draw a great inspiration from this process. This victory reaffirms some key learning applicable in the business as well such as.. ✅ The right teamwork can help you achieve seemingly impossible goals. ✅ Building a strong talent funnel is crucial to creating a winning team. ✅ Planning and implementing effective mechanisms are essential for consistent success. ✅ The output is not in your hands, but the input is. Focus on raising the quality of inputs, and you will achieve the desired output. Congratulations, Cricket India! Keep inspiring.

Team India's unbeaten streak in the tournament is a testament to their resilient mindset. Leaders should recognize and celebrate small wins to keep the team motivated towards the larger goal. 5. #LeadByExample The Indian team's captain led from the front, setting an example of tenacity and determination. A leader's actions set the tone for the team's approach to challenges and their commitment to the goal. 6. #TheDravidEffect: #MentorshipThatMoldsChampions Under the mentorship of Coach Rahul Dravid, Team India has NOT only honed their skills but also their mental fortitude. Dravid's philosophy of focusing on the process rather than the outcome has been instrumental in building a team that is robust, both in skill & spirit.
