Advanced rooming medical assistants spent more time with patients and huddled longer with clinicians...Advanced rooming may be a way to enhance care, ease clinician burden, and increase efficiency." I have encountered reactions that are on opposite ends of the spectrum when I mention or inquire about healthcare provider's peer review practices... If executed properly, peer review can be an invaluable tool to maintain your clinical program's #safety and #quality! There are certainly comparisons to draw here Joe James, the main one being the difference in perspective between those that believe it to be role extension and others that believe it to be role substitution.... However it is viewed, we have to look deeper into the reasons why the roles exist.....because we have an acute #workforce shortage that requires a solution! In #radiology, there's little doubt that the introduction of #radiographer reporting has been a largely successful program which has helped reduce the workforce gap in radiology reporting. If it improves standards, then any review into a profession like #PhysiciansAssociate should be seen as a positive exercise.
