Today is the Day of Giving—a moment to reflect on the power of generosity and the collective impact we can create. At The Bristoll Group, we believe in building meaningful connections and empowering communities. Giving, in its many forms, is a core part of that mission. Whether it’s sharing time, knowledge, resources, or kindness, every act of generosity strengthens the bonds between us. Here are a few ways businesses and individuals can embrace the spirit of giving: ✨ Partner with local nonprofits to amplify their mission. ✨ Offer your team volunteer opportunities to give back. ✨ Share your expertise or mentor someone on their journey. ✨ Highlight a cause close to your heart and encourage others to support it. Let's celebrate the ripple effect of giving—one small act at a time. Together, we can uplift and inspire change. #DayOfGiving #BrandWithHeart #CommunityMatters #GiveBack

Do you remember trying to organize a few of your friends or college roommates for a social event, only for it to fall apart because of how hard it was to coordinate everyone? Try doing that on a scale 10x larger than that -- and that's what #publicservants and nonprofit pros are doing daily. There are logistical, financial, and many other challenges to community engagement, but if you want successful community engagement, you need to meet people where they are. #Governments #CommunityEngagement #CivilService

Change takes time. It also takes a village. A town. A region. A community. But where do you start to support positive change, especially now in the colder months as millions of people's urgent needs become more significant? ❄ It's a tough choice whether to support people's mental health, heating bills, bereavement support, food hubs, youth clubs, or financial aid. However, giving through one channel - a community foundation - can address all the immediate issues within your own community and help to support longer-term solutions, regardless of an area's size or location. How is this achieved? Accredited community foundations are dotted all over the UK. They work with grassroots groups and charitable networks to transform people's lives within the community, and they do this thanks to the fantastic commitment of donors. Here's an example of the work happening at Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, thanks to the commitment of people supporting their county: 📽 https://lnkd.in/gajKYJQq You can find your local community foundation here: 🗺 https://lnkd.in/dCjjWWS #TransformLives #Investment #CommunityFoundations #Philanthropy

Advisory Board for the Arts' recent Executive Benchmark study explored community engagement at arts and cultural organizations. Highlights from the survey include: • Community engagement is one of the main pillars of strategic plans for a majority (63%) of responding organizations, and the budget for that work has increased somewhat or significantly for over half of respondents. • Youth (ages 5-12) are the top priority for half of participating organizations’ resource allocation within community engagement programming. • Most responding orgs have 2-5 community engagement staff. While half of organizations use volunteers for general support of their community programs, most organizations do not feel that they depend heavily on volunteer support. • Foundation grants and individual gifts are the most important sources of funding for community initiatives at responding organizations.
