𝐒𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐓 #𝟔 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 Half a dozen SPRINT batches are over, and each one has been full of learning, networking and new-found collaborations to accelerate the #hydrogen economy. Batch 6 was no exception. 🤩 💡 In the 10 weeks since our start-ups kicked off with us at our base, the BRYCK.COM Tower in Essen, they’ve tackled their individual challenges with the help of our growing network of experts. There were pitches, presentations, one-on-ones and workshops, as well as a visit of a delegation organized by Innovate UK. 🎥 We also took the opportunity of the on-site program to ask participants – be they start-ups, partners or our experts – to give us their insights into the SPRINT and the work of H2UB. Exciting times are ahead for Enerpoly as we shift to dry-electrode manufacturing for our zinc-ion batteries. This is not just about enhancing our operational efficiency, it's about positioning ourselves at the forefront of technological innovation in the energy storage industry. 🪫 The Current State-of-the-Art: Traditional wet-electrode manufacturing, prevalent in lithium-ion battery production, involves slurry coating, which requires significant amounts of solvent. This process is energy-intensive, environmentally taxing, and costly due to the need for solvent recovery systems and extensive drying times. 🔋 The Dry-Electrode Manufacturing: In contrast, dry-electrode manufacturing eliminates the need for solvents, drastically reducing energy consumption and production costs. This year has me feeling more inspired and motivated than ever… When I reflect on all the calls, meetings, introductions, cold outreach, new connections, numerous events, and countless moments of serendipity, I feel fortunate to have met so many amazing people. I’ve learned over the years that when you take the time to talk WITH someone one-on-one, ask GOOD questions, and just LISTEN, people will naturally peel back their layers of logic and reason to reveal what REALLY lights them up.
