Meet John W. Phillips: A Veteran, Advocate, and Author.
Hi, I’m John W. Phillips, a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and a passionate veteran advocate navigating the often-overwhelming transition from military to civilian life. I have walked in your shoes! My mission is simple: to empower veterans with the tools, insights, and confidence to thrive in their next chapter...finding their new true north.
After my own transition, I realized how much was missing from the resources available to veterans. That’s why I wrote Boots to Loafers: Finding Your New True North—a guide designed to address the gaps and provide actionable advice for every stage of the process: transition, transformation, and integration. 10 years later, although the foundational principles stay the same, some new content needed to be added and changed.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing tips, lessons, and stories from the book to help veterans and their families find clarity and direction. I’d love to hear from you, too—what challenges have you faced, or are you facing, during your transition...your transformation...and ultimately integrating back into society? Let’s create a community where no one has to navigate this alone. #VeteranSupport #MilitaryTransition #BootsToLoafers #veteran #vetlanta #veterans #veteranhelpingveteran #army #navy #airforce #marines #usmc
