It's a day that will always make you remember where you were, and what you were doing. September 11, 2001. My dad called me. I had just begun my entrepreneurial journey, renting an executive suite, full of hopes and dreams. Born in the Bronx, seeing the destruction in my hometown was profoundly heartbreaking. It forever changed me. In the wake of that tragic day, seeing how our country came together with such patriotism and strength showed the best of who we are as a nation. Yet, as I look back, it saddens me to think about how media and divisive narratives have sometimes worked against that unity, creating false divides that we still grapple with today. I hope we can remember the spirit of togetherness from that day and strive to carry it forward, so it doesn't take another tragedy to unite us. We still have much to address and improve, but by embracing our shared values and supporting one another, we can build a stronger, more connected future. Let us honor the resilience and spirit that define us as Americans. Never forget. #PatriotDay #Reflection #Unity #NeverForget

Patriot Day: Reflecting on September 11th and the Power of Unity Today, on Patriot Day, we pause to reflect on the events of September 11th, 2001, and honor the memory of the thousands of lives lost and the countless heroes who emerged on that tragic day. At Alter New Media, our founder, Nadya Rousseau, recalls being in 9th grade when her school was evacuated. She, like many others, watched in disbelief as the Twin Towers fell and our country faced an unimaginable tragedy. Living near a military base and close to Washington D.C., there was a palpable sense of fear about what might come next. In 2018, Nadya was in New York City on September 11th and remembers walking through Chinatown, where fireworks were set off in remembrance of the victims. The experience was a stark reminder of the resilience and strength that emerged from that devastating day. Now, on September 11th, 2024, as a company headquartered in Nevada, we reflect on how the challenges we face today, especially in an increasingly divided political landscape, contrast with the unity that brought us together after 9/11. Recent presidential debates may highlight division, but today, we remember that unity is more powerful than any political differences. At Alter New Media, we are inspired by the independent spirit we see across America and the communities we serve. Despite the challenges our country faces, we are reminded of how fortunate we are to live in a nation that values freedom, resilience, and the ability to come together in times of need. As we honor the courage and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve, let today be a reminder that our strength as a nation lies in our ability to stand together, not apart. Let’s reflect on the significance of Patriot Day, and continue working toward a future of unity, compassion, and understanding. #PatriotDay #NeverForget #September11 #Unity #Resilience #America

Every year, we honor the lives lost on this day—a moment that forever changed our world. For my generation it is the “I remember exactly where I was that day” -moment. As we remember, it’s easy to focus on the tragedy and the fear, but what if we also leaned into the lessons? What if we chose to shift from an interpretation that has in many ways, lead to division and fear and instead to one of connection, resilience, appreciation and understanding? 9/11 showed us how fragile life is, but also how strong we can be when we come together. So, while we mourn, let’s ask ourselves—what are we doing *today* to foster the kind of unity that followed? Are we living in a way that honors those who lost their lives by creating stronger communities, by showing up with empathy, by building bridges instead of walls? This isn’t about ignoring the pain. It’s about transforming it into purpose. Let’s not just remember—let’s choose to act, to connect, and to make sure that, in our day-to-day lives, we’re honoring and living with the values that emerged on that day: compassion, resilience, and humanity. #NeverForget #ChooseConnection #ResilienceInAction

Name a time that the brotherhood had your back! In today's fast-paced and often fragmented world, the power of community cannot be overstated. This bold message, "Community is Strength," resonates deeply with the values we should uphold both in the Military and out. As we navigate through challenges, whether they are global crises, professional obstacles, or personal struggles, the strength we find in our communities and brotherhood becomes our greatest asset. It is through collective support, shared resources, and mutual encouragement that we can overcome even the most daunting challenges. This powerful statement reminds us that being part of a community means more than just belonging it means actively contributing to the well-being of others, fostering connections, and building a network of support that can withstand any storm. At the heart of every successful endeavour, there is a community of individuals working together, each bringing their unique strengths and perspectives. This synergy not only drives innovation and growth but also creates a resilient foundation that supports everyone involved. As we reflect on this message, let us remember to cultivate and cherish our communities. Let's invest time in building meaningful relationships, offering help when needed, and looking out for one another. By doing so, we not only strengthen our bonds but also create a ripple effect of positivity and resilience that can extend far beyond our immediate circles. In the end, it is our collective strength that will lead us to greater heights and help us achieve our shared goals. Let's continue to be strong and look out for one another. #veteransupport #entrepreneurmindset #careergoals #professionaldevelopment #successhabits #nevergiveup #mindsetiseverything #veteran #Brotherhood

There are forces against you. Forces that would keep you in the dark and collapse the channels of freedom and prosperity in your life. Pray for wisdom. Create a life of abundance. Give to and support others, so they can do the same. #baltimorebridge , #realworldcoaching

Remembering 9/11: Reflecting on Resilience and Unity On this day, we remember the tragic events of 9/11 and honor the lives lost, the heroes who emerged, and the strength of a nation that stood together in the face of adversity. While the memories of that day remain heavy, let’s also recognize the power of coming together as a community, as neighbors, and as human beings. The spirit of 9/11 is not just about remembrance; it's about resilience, kindness, and rebuilding with love. Today, let's carry forward that spirit by finding ways to connect, support, and lift each other up. It could be through a small act of kindness, lending a helping hand, or simply being there for someone who needs it. In a world that sometimes feels divided, let's choose to be united—today and every day. Let's honor the legacy of those we lost by building a future defined by empathy and togetherness. We will never forget. #911Remembered #UnityInAction #CommunityStrength #NeverForget #Resilience

Today, on National Sorry Day, I reflect on the deep scars left by the Stolen Generations, not as a distant historical event, but as a reality that still echoes through the lives of my family. Growing up in Brewarrina, a place with its own painful history as a mission site, I carry the stories of resilience and heartache that define our community. Just north from Bre is Goodooga, where my mum was hidden under the bed on the floor whenever the police came around their camp because she was fair-skinned. Another relative was rubbed with soot from the fire to darken her complexion, a desperate attempt to keep our family together. This is not a tale from the distant past but a mere generation ago—a lived reality for my family. These acts of survival highlight the lengths our people went to protect their loved ones from a system intent on erasing our identity. The strength and ingenuity shown by my family, and countless others, are testament to the resilience and determination of First Nations people. As a proud First Nations woman, I honor my ancestors' sacrifices and their relentless fight to keep our culture and family bonds intact. Today, we remember the pain and acknowledge the trauma, but we also celebrate the enduring strength and spirit of our people. National Sorry Day is not just a day of reflection but a call to action. We must continue to push for truth-telling and healing, ensuring that the stories of our ancestors are never forgotten. Let us work together to create a future where our children can grow up without fear, in a society that recognizes and respects the profound value of our heritage. #NationalSorryDay #StolenGenerations #FirstNations #Brewarrina #TruthTelling #Healing #Resilience #IndigenousStrength
