Stress Testing: Pushing Systems to Their Limits Definition: Stress testing evaluates system behavior under extreme workloads. Analogy: Imagine overloading a truck to find its breaking point. Real-Life Example: Testing a ticket-booking app with 50,000 users during a concert ticket sale. Steps: 1. Identify maximum capacity. 2. Simulate extreme traffic using JMeter or LoadRunner. 3. Observe failure points and recovery behavior. Tips and Tricks to Remember: Stress = Spike Testing. Monitor logs to identify bottlenecks. Takeaway: Stress testing ensures your system can handle unexpected spikes. #StressTesting #PerformanceReliability

Think like a tester, and pay attention to things that affect the outcome. I was going to make a video about using different methods for generating test cases from models and how the different coverage affects testing outcomes. I changed my mind when I found a really bad bug that only happened if I changed something that initially I didn't believe would matter. In hindsight it makes sense, but it caught me off guard. In this video I run some test cases on Test Case Studio, a test session recording tool that captures your steps from the browser as you run them. This is a handy tool for accounting what you did in a testing session. That said, I did find several cases in very short order. https://lnkd.in/gWhyftWY #softwaretesting #softwaredevelopment #testcasestudio #testcompass

Last week we talked about traditional load testing tools and the spectrum of tools you all have experience with is remarkable. But what about unconventional testing methods? Was there any testing activity outside of the traditional testing suite you have tried and actually got meaningful results? Or maybe it failed completely? This meme is inspired by your comments ;) #performance #performancetesting #performanceengineering #perfluencer #memefluencer

From the picture, choose a correct answer: 1. Both test1 and test2 functions will revert with overflow. 2. test1 function reverts with overflow, test2 overflows without error, setting _store var to 1. 3. test2 function reverts with overflow, test overflows without error, setting _store var to 100. 4. Both test1 and test2 functions will work successfully.
